Lake Nixon Summer Day Camp - Children's camp in Little Rock - 18500 Cooper Orbit Rd, USA

Exciting things are happening at Lake Nixon. They are constructing new biking/hiking trails. A 1.75 mile long trek that will have 2 new trails attached through the rolling hills on the north side of Cooper Orbit Road.

My kid absolutely loves this place! We've enrolled 5 summers in a row and it just keeps getting better. The director they hired a couple years ago has gone above and beyond to really make things top notch. He's focused on ways to engage the kids in a wide variety activities. I cannot recommend Lake Nixon enough - such a wonderful asset to our city!

Oh my! I went to this camp in the 80s and it was epic! So glad to see the tradition is being continued. I still remember all the fun things we did and how cool the area was. I am going to try to enroll my daughter this summer… full circle:)

The Arkansas Canoe Club has made arrangements to go out and paddle, have classes, play boat ball and just paddle. I rescue balls that have gotten away from the kids during the day and bring them back to shore. It looks like they have lots of fun stuff to do during the day with the kids that come out there. But I don't know for sure what they offer as in care or times. You'd have to Google their web-site for that info.

Wonderful experience!! My 8 year old son spent four weeks participating in the Lake Nixon programming, and we could not be more thrilled with his experience and growth. Mike Simmons and his talented staff did an excellent job of organizing and implementing meaningful activities in the spirit of fun! They did such a great, great job making my little guy feel valued and safe. Thank you Mr. Mike and the awesome counselors and staff!

My child had an amazing summer. I love the staff and the activities they have set up for the kids. The communication is great and the camp is well priced. It has the feel of a sleep away camp. My child had a wonderful experience and I am grateful. Also, they have transportation for children so I could pick my child up at camp or there are locations for bus pick up and drop off.

My 7 year old has had the best time at this camp this past summer! She has become so much more confident in her self. It is a very safe environment where she has been able “to just be a kid”. We will be back next summer!

We went there last summer, and it was amazing everything was there from your covered patio, plenty of picnic tables. The water was a little bet cold but that was ok because the giant slide in the middle of the swimming area was awesome. They also had the water tricycles, you could put up 4 people in them. It was very clean, restrooms we're nice and clean. I really had a nice time there. I went back just to see the lake again. I remembered how beautiful it was!!! 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧
