2-parter - Campground and Lake Keomah itself. Camped in the tent on an electric site. They also have non electric. The campground was pretty level, lots of space on our site (#16 in the corner). Fire ring with grates & picnic table included on all sites. There's a modern restroom and shower, pretty clean. Overall very peaceful, despite some kind of farmland behind us, which was actually quite pretty at sunset. You could hear the cows(?) from a distance, but it is not a loud or bothersome noise. Other animals we heard from the campgrounds were pretty basic: birds, frogs and coyotes. The raccoons werent bothersome, hahah. Very shy & easily scared off, we had one instance and they turned tail and never returned. Peaceful stay overall & very happy with it. The lake is not large, but it's pretty and peaceful. Nice little village around the lake (people do live there). But a few miles of trails around the lake will keep you busy. They're wide & flat, and require no effort to walk. Trails dont have much wildlife to view aside from your local amphibians. Trails lead around the beach, I dont recommend a swim though. Inhabited by many geese, as well as a large population of snails. The snail shells are scattered all over the beach - very cool, large shells. Saw a restroom at the beach. Also saw a shelter for gatherings, a lodge, and picnic space around the lake. Quiet setting for any visit, would recommend Lake Keomah for sure.
The park is clean and trimmed nicely. The water is getting awfully messy, not sure that can be helped. The Ranger is personable. The shelter has good upkeep.
RV ground was over packed. Kids playing everywhere and just so so amenities mixed with traffic and heavy equipment noises do not lend well to a peaceful get away. The restroom and shower houses were stocked and in useable but not nice condition. Trails are mowed as are sites. Best bet here is a tent site- although only one or two are level which is not good for tenters. Roads to and from are paved or asphalt and in good condition. You will be a stones throw from osky which is nice for supplies. There is a self serve firewood place as you are coming in on your left. The park it's self is pretty with mature trees. I will not be going back it was not to my standard of peace and relaxation.
Quiet little lake in Oskaloosa, Iowa area. Kayaking, swimming are popular here and nice campground as well. The sand and beach needs a bit of upkeep but it is towards end of beach season so not surprising it needs cleaned.
Extremely relaxing! The water has been clear with very little algae. It's the best I've seen it in years. The only negative is the beach - it could use a good cleaning 😊
Always a nice time out their but the lake needs to be raked due to over growth of moss and weeds in the water by shoreline it makes it hard to fish or swim because of it
Lake is alge filled and closed to people. Campground is real quiet and empty weekdays and one third full on average weekends.
The campground bathrooms are some of the cleanest we've been to do wish there was a park for kids

Edmondson Park is one of my favorite parks for many years! Though it is roughly 20 years old it's larger, more intricate, and diverse than almost any other playground our family has visited! If you're a fan of lava tag (tag where you can't touch the
