Pretty little spot right off Hwy 243. It's well-maintained. There are picnic tables and grills to enjoy lunch or you can pick a spot somewhere along the edge of the lake to sit and enjoy. There is a round, wooden walkway/pier from which several people were fishing the day I was there. It extends over the water and is a great place from which to get an unobstructed view of the lake. I went on a weekday at noon. It was a little busy. It's a small enough place for that to happen easily. There was a group of young ladies playing music loud enough to be heard from the road. They were just having fun, but it detracted from the otherwise very peaceful setting. If I get back through the area, I'd like to try to visit on a weekday in the early morning or the evening. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth going to see, busy or not. The parking area is across the road from the lake and does require a wilderness pass, obtainable at a number of stores, including local convenience stores. Safe & fun travels.
Great place to have a simple picnic! Nice lil walking trails, not too far from village with restaurants and stores. Nothing to do here but fish and picnic, relax and enjoy some quiet.
Beautiful little mountain lake with really nice hiking trails and plenty of picnic areas.
Great easy hike around the lake. Very nice stop before getting to Idyllwild
Close to home and the right amount of wilderness. Place has been cleaned up nicely, well maintained and the kiosk at the parking lot makes it alot easier for first timers to not have to stop elsewhere for the adventure pass. Seriously though... no fish in that lake but the water looks nice ha ha
Gorgeous and peaceful — the day area parking was closed so I had to park on a safe space on the side of the road the same side as the lake. But it was lovely and I caught the sunset.
When I first drove past there wasn’t much side of the road parking so I traveled a few miles ahead to the outlook point. Highly recommended if you are already in the area. There are signs or you can look on the map.
Surprisingly big lake area on both sides which fyi the lake does not allow you to walk completely around. There were less people on the side without the deck.
Love this little lake to just walk around it. It’s very quite and peaceful. You can fish, grill or just go for a walk around it.
Cool, little lake, nice hiking trails. Great place for a picnic or fishing.

This restaurant was recommended by our local family. We are visiting from AZ. It is definitely a place we will visit again. The small town cafe feel and country cooking are great!
Awesome place to stop by on the way out to or coming from LA, out to Joshua Tree. We stopped there on our way back from a great weekend in 29 Palms. Food was fantastic - biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, the whole 9 yards. Service was great and the
A nice selection of a little of everything. They really do have a LARGE selection of liquor/ alcohol. They have normal "gas station" products with not being one. They have a few essentials as well as some t-shirts and hats and such. The employees are
Welcoming family restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. Red and yellow Currys were some of the best in the greater Palm Springs area. We will be returning to try more dishes in their menu.
This is a gold nugget in the desert. We were recommended to go here to have some nice Mexican food and I have to say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever visited. Food and flavors are amazing. I can defer it'll recommend the shrimp t
