Lake Country Inn - Motel in Center - 701 San Augustine St, USA

On way to Houston with 2 screaming kiddos and decided to stop foe the night. What a great decision! The owners were so sweet! Very personable and they even gave me milk for my daughter out of their own fridge! The room was very clean and they let me see it beforehand. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay!! We had a great experience!||Stormie Carter

I love this place. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the rooms are really nice on the inside. The couple that works the front desk are as sweet as they can be. They are pet friendly. They are also very affordable. There a few different gas stations with in walking distance if your are trying to save gas . I do recommend this place. This is our favorite place to stay when we visit center.

This place has been here forever and unfortunately has always been kinda the roach motel of center... If you're broke af and absolutely need a place it will work but I'd bathe in bleach afterwards!

Gentleman was nice at the front desk, the lady not so much. I told them I had my service dog with me. She wanted to argue the point over these fake service dog cards people buy. I tried to tell her they are not legal. There is no such thing by the ADA. She thinks they are real. There is no such true card. Other than that the room is clean and I would stay here again less her attitude.great price also.

Going into the nice lobby you think that you are going to have a good stay but it's not the case. What used to be a restaurant in the main building is now a private club. The rooms are pretty run down. The room needs to be repainted. Too much furniture in the room. No security chain or deadbolt on the door. No smoke alarm. Very limited number of channels on television. Older television. Small holes in bedspread. No breakfast provided. No restaurants in immediate area.||||Special note to people with mobility issues - There are no rooms that are handicap accessible. No handicap ramp getting into lobby or into the rooms.

Get affordable price but non smoking rooms smells horrible like the carpet r smoke. Need to b deep clean n new house keeping. I see a hair pin on he carpet.. clean the rooms better than the is

Expensive for the condition of the room you get had guy outside my room 24 7 asking for money and cigarettes everytime I had to leave the room to go to the truck. Staff was nice but didnt inform me of all the extra charges when I called to ask about pricing on the room.
