Great place to come to. Right by my house. I always drive my scooter there with my small doggie (Shitzu). I also recently rented a cabin there and loved it. Felt like a whole different city I was at!
My daughter and I have gone kayaking and walking the dog here. They have some small cabins you can rent as well, but we live local so never have. It’s a nice little lake for novice kayakers, like my daughter. Great family time.
This is a beautiful park tucked away right next to the town! My only complaint was that it was very difficult to find the park office when I was looking for information on the park. The first pond is pretty, but the lake further back is even better. It has a beautiful floating walkway, with a shaded pavilion in the middle where you can sit or fish. There is also a beautiful babbling brook that meanders its way through the park. In addition, there are fields next to the wooded areas where people can play sports. Kayaking is $5/hr, with a 2 hr. minimum. I think that's very reasonable and would love to try it sometime! Disc golf is only $5, but you have to put down a deposit of $25 in case you don't bring the discs back. The disc golf course is really fun, though it's a little hard to understand the route.
The park is beautiful and well taken care of. The cabins are incredibly hot with no AC, it was over 100° even with fans going. The door does not lock from the inside, so your toddler can just open the door. The elderly man that runs it is rude and not friendly at all. Even with your cabin rental, you still have to pay for your kayak and fishing pass. They also tell you that you can't fish at night in front of the cabin...that you pay for. It's a great place to go for the day but I'd never ever try to camp there again.
Beautiful park, great disc golf course.
Awesome park! Great place. They have cabins, fishing, canoeing , hiking, soccer field, picnic area and disc golf.
Love this place! Nice and easy dirt, gravel, root walking trails, along with advanced trails. Lots of turtles sunbathing. Disc golf, canoeing, both tent and cabin camping, fishing. Dog and family friendly.
Perfect peaceful getaway! I stayed in the “Overlook” cabin. It has electricity and there is a bathroom on site that is a little walk away. It was $30/night with a $50 security deposit that is refunded when you checkout.
From the Minute you pull in off of the Road, it is an experience! The parking staff was organized and friendly. The Blond haired young boy who directed us was exceptionally nice. I got there 30 minutes early, and I felt like I was late! They had sev
This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it! They have a huge selection of Hershey's ice creams. The prices are not bad at all either. They also serve food but we did not try any today. I personally enjoyed the fact that they had toy set up
Tried Ari's for the first time tonight and Luann waited on me. She said I'd like it and definitely be back and she was absolutely right. It was a huge pizza with an actual NY style crust, not too heavy on the sauce, cooked perfectly and the cheese wa
It took a while for them to notice I was at the register. But I finally ordered and got my food. Bojangles food is always good. Hot crispy chicken, but they were out of sweet potato pies.
