3-4 small businesses were set on fire a few years ago and that large part of the lot has remained vacant. I don't think any small business will lease space here. The grocery outlet is a good small business and there are a few other small businesses. But lake city is overrun by homeless addicts some of whom negligently or intentionally burn down buildings and steal. The city has largely neglected the area and there are more and more abandoned buildings and vacant lots, which only invites more crime. I'm within easy walking distance to grocery outlet and won't walk there after sunset. It's quite sad.
A pillar of retail in Lake City for decades, this spot provides ample parking, hardware, auto parts, groceries and a Chipotle! Easily walkable from many directions, it is also across from the Post Office, and the super delicious Mount and Bao.
After half of it burnt down a couple years ago, it's just gone downhill since, as far as the amount of shady characters wandering the parking lot, prowling cars and starting arguments with plants! Not really sure why half of the parking lot is always full but suspect people have been dumping stolen/abandoned cars there since there's no businesses to have them towed.. Just my observations of the wondrous Lake City! Gentrification be damned!
Seen a lot of big changes here lately. They moved their Natural and organic aisle near the entrance and rearranged the produce department. It looks great and they have the best prices in town.
The Ace hardware in here is pretty great, there's also a pretty good grocery outlet. Decent amount of parking, not necessarily in the best area of town, but they keep it pretty clean. Couple other businesses on site, but I'm usually in there for the grocery outlet or the ace hardware. The employees are both of these places are friendly, and the stores are in good shape
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Bartells and their employees are the VERY BEST you will find! Even though it's owned by Rite Aid now! Used to be so excited BECU was there! Not anymore! They close the ATM at 6pm on weekdays, 1pm on Saturday's and CLOSED on Sunday!!! BOOOOOO! There's an ice cream shop, Tweedy & Pops, Fred Meyer, Grocery Outlet and more nearby!

When I go to Lake City Plaza @ Tweedy & Pop Ace Hardware Family Owned Hardware Store, the staff is friendly Nice & very helpful if you can't find supplies/if you tell them what merchandise that you need they take you right to the area to find the exact products you are buying/helper who is helping you Asks you Is there anything else that I can help you with I told helper no not now helper says to me if you have anymore questions I,ll be glad to help again..
