Lake Chatuge Lodge - Lodge in Hiawassee - 653 US-76, USA

The hotel is older and could use a face lift. We were there for a concert at the Anderson Music Hall and the location was very good. The lake is beautiful but we did not have a lake view room. Our room smelled musty. Although the hotel wasn’t great, the area is gorgeous.

We were very pleased with our stay at Lake Chatuge Lodge. It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the lake from our balcony was excellent. There was a beautiful night sky, many stars. So relaxing. We would definitely stay there again.

Love this cute resort. Stayed here many, many times for fishing tournaments. So much fun at the holidays. Rooms could use some updating & maintenance but they were comfortable. Love the views and location. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

A very beautiful place that we visited to see how the area was. A beautiful lake to look out over. We booked our room for September for the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds for the American Made Music Fest. We haven't stayed yet but it was very nice. Hope to enjoy the area and music come September.

We spent a night here, and enjoyed our stay. The building is older, however it has been maintained. There is a nice lobby, staff was pleasant, breakfast was good and above all the room was clean. Nice views also. I would stay here again.

Ladies at the front desk were helpful however they have quite a few rules about where to park motorcycles you need to be aware of. I had a king room and the A/C was good. That’s about it. The bathroom is poorly lit, bathroom counter was falling down and toilet is uncomfortable. Bed was unbelievably bad. Wasn’t at all worth the price. Location is convenient to the G.A. Mountain Campground.

We stayed Thursday, Friday and Saturday total cost was $593.56. We were totally amazed to discover Friday afternoon that they have NO room service! They do not give you fresh towels daily, they do not empty waist baskets in the room. They did give us a request form to fill out for things you need in the room and told us to put our used towels on the floor in the hallway! We filled out the request form Saturday morning asking for towels, the waist baskets to be emptied and more shampoo. We returned to the room with a plastic bag with shampoo and 2 empty plastic bags for trash bins and no fresh towels!

PLEASE update the mattresses! They are so old and uncomfortable. Been coming here for 10 years and nothing had ever been refreshed. They even took the pictures off the wall and left the nails and never repainted so the paint was stained where the pictures used to be. Stunning views but needs a refresh !
