I rented a room that was dog friendly.
When I woke up the kitchen was floor and counter was covered with ants.
I called the front desk to tell her I had a lot of ants and she said how many? 5,000, 6,000? I said I don't know...A LOT!
RUDE!
She told me that's what happens when you feed your dog.
I was blown away.
The smell in the room was horrible, it was so bad that my family could smell it on our clothes.
I do NOT recommend this hotel. Especially if you have a pet, because GOD forbid you may have to feed it.
Absolutely love this place!!! The rooms are great with a lot of thought put into the furnishings and extras in them, but the beat thing about the place is the little old lady running the front desk! She is so personable, nice, and genuine! I love her to death!. She made me feel like I just pulled up to my grandma's house and she came out to say how are you? Are you hungry? Come in, come in. That kind of welcoming and kindness. And it is genuine hospitality too, and not the fake smile in your face and then talk smack about you behind your back like you get at a lot of places out there. She is the real deal and a true gem to be treasured. This is definitely the only place we will be staying at from now on when we visit the area!! They are right when they say "they strive to make you feel like family here", on their webpage! They nailed it for sure!! Love love love this place!! Can't say enough good things about it. If I could I would give it 10 stars!
We stayed here after being referred by a fellow Co worker. I wish we would have found this cozy Lodge sooner! They are pet friendly and have weekly rates that are wonderfully priced ( not during summer months though). Highly recommend for business or family travel. The ladies are wonderfully welcoming and the rooms are cozy and spacious. Have told everyone about this wonderful gem.
The room was clean and well furnished. The lake across the road was such a great view. The office staff was down home but nice and helpful. It was a little odd to have to call to make the reservation, but it worked. The wifi connection was fast and consistent. I would definitely stay here again. Great access up the back road to the Anacortes ferry.
We were very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of our unit. The view of the lake was a bonus. The location was very convenient for us as well. Pet friendly (a must for us). A gazebo that came with a BBQ for brickettes and a BBQ for propane, and both fuels were provided. For reasons an old man cannot understand, my wife kept commenting on the real dinnerware and glasses that were provided, not the plastic stuff we normally see. Quiet. Helpful, friendly staff. We will certainly stay with you the next time we are in your area. There you go, the best unsolicited writing an old codger like me can do. Thank you.
This small, locally owned motel was perfect for our 3 night stay while attending a nearby function. Exceptionally clean and well maintained with modest rates compared to other nearby locations. I booked well in advance of summer plans. Very kind and accommodating employees. Directly across street from Lake. Short distance in either direction to town or Deception Pass State Park. Excellent seafood drive-in nearby.
Room was clean, smelled really good. Room had every thoughtful thing you would need. Place was not dusty. Room for the price was great. Def. Coming back for a longer stay. In and out of the places was great except for the cob webs out side. Very relaxing and comfy.
Would give one star if I could...seemed like a nice place. First off, no AC and a cheap fan that broke on us. But what ruined this establishment was the innkeeper/maid. She denied us ADA rights for our service dog to move to another room after 4 nights stay. She had a reservation for our "dog friendly" room, told us to go, and offered to call the sheriff to remove us when we asked for another OPEN unit to move to under FEDERAL LAW. I will be reporting her to the ADA and everyone else, especially after she said she "was not running a hospital at the motel" but was living there with her husband who suffered falls from seizures and needed care. My husband's service dog is for this exact reason. She is a real piece of work. I also think the property is infested with mold based allergens. Avoid at all costs! I always wanted to stay here growing up...now at 40, stay away! It's pretty, but stay away
I had a great experience during my recent stay at Anacortes Inn, leadership under new management makes a world of difference. The service provided by the staff was truly exceptional. They were attentive, courteous, and always ready to assist, making
