Labella Motel - Motel in New Orleans - 3321 Jefferson Hwy, USA

I have stayed here a few times, and they are getting better all the way around. The office team is very friendly and helpful as always.They are working on cleaning this place up. I never wanted to give a review before till this last time I was there. I want people to know this place is getting better than the reviews I have read on here. There is evident they are addressing the issues of people hanging around, running them off if they don't have a room, and making you feel safer being there. The rooms are cleaner with evident they are trying to get rid of the bedbugs. I didn't see any the last time I was there. I did see an exterminator there to treat for the other types of bugs. I was given towels and the room they put me in was painted and clean. I asked the office where the closest laundry mat was, and they offered to was and dry my clothes for a small fee. I couldn't believe they are going the extra mile to satisfy their customers. I can't wait for my next visit to see how much they got done.

There are no stars for this motel. It is the worst of the worst, I asked for clean sheets and got sheets with blood stains and cigarette holes that matched up with the blood stains and cigarette holes on the mattress. No TV, you got either hot or cold water not both, with vise grips to turn water off or on. But worst of all no key,we were told to use knife or credit card to get in room. Yes it was cheap but should be free. Sometimes it is $260 a week and sometimes it's $300 a week it depends on who's working when you check in. Why are they still open for business? It's a motel for mice and rats and I saw many of them..

The worst of the worst, I am not sure Why the health department has not shut it down. The beds are full of Mold and Mildew. No locks on most doors, No Clean Linen’s at all. You would have to be a crazy person with no where to go to stay there. I know people who don’t have much or no where to go but for your Health, Please find another solution.

If I could give this place a zero I would. My best friend rented a room here, we payed before looking at the rooms which was our fault, when we looked at the rooms they’re was absolutely no way she could stay here so we asked for a refund where the manager very rudely told us no refunds. She did no paperwork just payed cash and got a key. The rooms are not livable. The only good thing about this place is the location and even with that you couldn’t pay to stay here. Just horrible

Run down motel that looks like it survived Katrina and shouldn’t of done so, rooms smelled of mold and ashtrays, mattresses were Grey the bedding was full of burn marks, the bathroom door didn’t budge, was wide open at all times, toilet leaked when you flushed it and they had A LOT of shady guys watching you at all times. Be warned if you stay here you need to have one hell of an alarm on your car and be up to date on all your vaccinations. I ended up leaving and staying in my car at Walmart (couldn’t find a room elsewhere on that short of notice) if I could give a lower rating I would

The first room offered head hole in the ceiling. The second one had no TV is painted multiple colors the hot water in the shower then I have a knob. They never change the sheets in the blankets they have tube TVs. And it looks like they may have bed bugs.

I choose to here because it was close to the hospital where I worked. I had nothing but issues from the time I got there! First room had an air conditioner that did NOT work. I went back to the desk they lady said we have another room but the tv is missing because an “ex” employee pawned it. I didn’t need to know all of that but okay. So she continues to say that she would continue to put in the “room” they hold for online reservations, a “suite” she called it. Well that room at bed bugs. Big adult ones that u can actually see crawling because that how long they have been there! I went back to the office. The clerk point to a sign that said “no refunds”. Then, she proceeded to ignore me. I had to call the police! She still refused to give me my money back and I was forced to choose to stay in a room without a tv because she charged me $60 plus and additional deposit. She claimed the owner was her HUSBAND but refuse to let me talk to him to explain the situation. The next morning I saw them attempting to drag the mattresses out that bedbug ridden room and what I saw was horrible. It looked as if they found those mattresses on the side of the street. Attached is a video and pics from that night!!!! Don’t waste your time or money. Unless you are a junkie that don’t care. This property is not descent enough for anyone else!!! And I have spoken with a lawyer over this matter!

I decided to help out a homeless man because it was below freezing outside and the shelters were full. I wanted to put him in a warm place where he could shower and sleep in a nice warm bed. Unfortunately, the motel has no central air and no heat. There is only a window A/C with only cold settings - no heater. I went to the front desk to inquire and the guy gave me a little 8"x8" electric heater to plug in. The only electric outlet was across the room from the bed (about 7 feet from head and 3 feet from foot of bed). I plugged it in and it barely got hot and barely blew heat (little fan in it). After 3 minutes the heater went off and wouldn't come back on. I returned it to the desk and the guy said it was the last one. So now I put up an old senior citizen in a room to keep warm - and it's almost as cold in there as it is outside. The room is old. It needs remodeling. There are holes in the walls. It's cold, but at least he's off the streets. At $50 a night, there should be heat in there!!!
