It is extremely easy to book an appointment on their website and I was able to check in for my appointment in my car. I received a text when the technician was ready for me.
The environment is extremely clean and well organized. My technician was very friendly and drew my blood samples easily. She had no issues finding my vein and it was not painful at all.
My entire visit from check-in to heading out to my car took about 5-10 minutes. The bloodwork was billed to my insurance as well. They have a full list of insurances they accept on their website.
Compared to my experiences at UPMC’s lab, I will be going to Labcorp from now on!
Their website shows that they do pediatric collections, but they have no urine collection bags. If your baby can't use the toilet yet, find somewhere else to give a urine sample. They recommended that we just hold our naked baby over the toilet until she pees, then to catch it. Instead they could just have a collection bag like any other pediatric collection site, or remove "pediatric collections" from the services offered.
Would not have been an issue for an adult or bigger kid, but definitely not infant friendly.
Please change your automated phone system, as you can not just go in and make an appointment for a company drug screen. It's not acceptable to say you're open till 4pm, and get there at 330 only to hear that you stop doing drug screens at 3pm. Thanks!
The woman is here is nice, but you desperately need to hire more staff and move to an office that can accommodate more people than 1 at a time. Most insurances in this area have this place as primary in network. I was drawn at the upmc station med building before this year and charged vs here no charge. I've been in the waiting room an hour and the waiting room is FULL. You cant tell me there's not enough money to expand.... 😤
Excellent Service. Ordered a blood panel on my own and paid in full. Check in process was very simple and fast. I was seen nearly promptly with my appointment and the Lab tech was very friendly and professional. Will be returning in the future.
Having an appointment vs walk-in was the way to go. Checked in online from my car, got my text to enter and didn’t even find a seat before I was called back to the lab area. Very quick, friendly and efficient.
the lady who was the receptionist was very rude. treated me terribly from the moment i walked in. i was there to take a pre-employment drug test and she acted like i did something wrong from the moment she saw me. i had to take the test 3 times because she kept telling me that the temperature was off but she watched me take the test all 3 times so i figure she was trying to make things more difficult for me. i ended up saying screw the job and walking out. i was there for over an hour because of her.
Friendly, experienced staff. Blood draws are painless and the wait is usually not bad at all. The cost through my insurance is significantly less than having my labs through UPMC.
