If you haven’t stopped here yet you are missing out, probably my favorite Italian market in North Jersey. La Vita will blow your mind! The quality of the food is unreal, so much flavor, and literally everything is fresh daily. They make their own cheese and bread and it really shows. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful as well. The tomato soup is done of the best I’ve ever had, the sandwiches are absolutely glorious and decadent, and the focaccia is just godly. If you love traveling around Europe or Italy and are looking for something close at home, you must try this. It’s a weekly stop for me from now on. DO IT! GO NOW!

I’m so happy I found this place! My boyfriend and I each got a sandwich, meatballs, rice balls & fresh mozz. Everything was beyond amazing and so fresh. The girl behind the counter was super helpful giving recommendations & everyone was so friendly! We will definitely be back!

Seriously stop reading this review drive here right now and order something. I drive all over the tri-state looking for the best sandwiches while working and without a doubt this takes the crown for Jersey I cannot wait come back to Sparta and eat my way through this menu. The fresh made mozzarella is spectacular the meat is perfect and the pesto has just the right amount of Tang for this Italiano sandwich I would give it 6 stars on Google if I could

I have been hesitant to write this review. But the world needs to know. La Vita isn’t just the greatest Italian specialty store in Sparta. It isn’t just the greatest piece of focaccia in the state of New Jersey. It isn’t just the greatest Italian sandwich shop in the entire north east. It is simply the most incredible meal on earth. Full stop. I’ve traveled the world far and wide and there is no comparison. It actually surpasses the source material, you can’t even get Italian food this good in Italy. I am so grateful that I am fortunate enough in life to have feasted on this masterpiece of culinary delight. 100/5 stars. If you’re reading this and trying to decide what to eat today, make the right decision and come to La Vita.

Ever since we moved to Sussex County 17 years ago, we missed the true Italian Food we had access to and would find in Essex County. Forget about finding good pizza up here as that is a complete lost cause. I won't eat at any pizza establishments up this way. It's all horrible. I'm first generation Italian and my parents are from Italy so I know good/real Italian food. When LaVita first opened I never even gave another thought and was like OK here we go again with another "wanna be" Italian food specialty store. Took me months before I even said "OK let me give it a shot" . The moment I walked in their door I was like wait a minute, this looks like the real deal. Sure enough, after giving my taste buds a chance I was completely blown away! LaVita is one of the highest quality traditional Italian specialty establishments I have ever eaten at. The food is so authentic and spot on that I felt I was eating my mother's and grandmothers cooking. The owner, who I spoke to for a while, is trained in the Italian cooking art and picked up his talent by also learning Italian cooking and training in Italy. Everything from the meatballs, pastas, sauces, various focaccias, and everything else that there is clearly too much to name is exquisite! Spot on delicious! Now I have to train to keep myself away because I would easily gain 10 lbs. eating here too often. Lol. Do yourself a favor and try LaVita. You will not be disappointed and you will get hooked! I'm very happy we finally do have the real deal for an Italian Food Specialty store right close to home. Forza LaVita!

Delicious and authentic Italian cuisine at a very reasonable price. The owners are friendly and the atmosphere is great. I’m not from the area but would gladly travel hours to eat here again!!!

Tried from the first time today and it felt like I was in Italy. I got the prosciutto and mozzarella panini with basil pesto and it was probably the best Italian sandwich I ever recall eating. My family is from Italy so it reminded me of how fresh my grandmothers ingredients were when I tasted their food here. Definitely coming back and recommending to anybody I know! Also best mozzarella around and cannot beat it for the price. 🇮🇹
