La Vista Inn - Hotel in Port Richey - 11736 US-19, USA

The night manager was a genuinely sweet guy. However, even the nicest person in the world can’t make up for bug-infested rooms. To start with, there were bugs (either roaches, water bugs, or silverfish. I can never tell the difference) crawling all over the door. I figured “What the heck…it’s not *in* the room, so it’s no big deal.” And then I opened the door. As soon as the lights were switched on, all you could see was about 30 more of the same type of bug scattering off of the bed closest to the door. I immediately turned right back around, went back to the office, and got my money refunded. I’ll sleep in the car before I would EVER stay in one of this establishment’s rooms.

We (4)stayed for 7 days 2 towels and 2 face cloths for 4 people .No room service not even a clean towel offered. 2 beds and a table no chair to sit on .No place to hang clothes. Bug bites on legs. Laundry and ice maker out of order. Joke when said "garden views" our room face a fence looking at a real motel. Entire place dirty and very run down. The only positive thing I can say is the pool was clean.

Beyond basic and not very clean. Bugs in the sink, room hasn't been swept, and the toilet only worked part of the time. I had to manually fill the tank more than once. I was given a single towel and a single washcloth, no hand towel or bath mat and good thing I was traveling by myself. The bed had a fitted sheet and a thin blanket, no flat sheet or comforter. The wifi only worked within a couple inches of the window. Overall ridiculous and gross and I will never stay there again.

I promise you, do not come here. There are roaches, bed bugs, spiders, black mold etc. I stayed in a SUITE and it was horrendous. The owners are absolutely NASTY. They have hired nothing but crack heads and disgusting people. Sharon and Nicole are probably the worst two people alive and their attitudes are trash. (Tammy and Julian are heaven sent and the sweetest.) when staying in my room I had to have maintenance come in and fix a leaking hole in my room and they stuck PAPER over it and painted. It’s also crackhead nation at every corner of the hotel. Also, do yourself a favor if you do stay here, pull the sheets and pillow cases off the bed and see what you’re sleeping on. RANCID. Please for the love of GOD do NOTTTT waste your money. If my review gets deleted, just know the OWNER deleted it.

The rooms have roaches, the mattresses are disgusting and they could really use a good maintenance man with the issues the rooms have. Microwave was dirty, roach infested and had no turntable. The owners, i don't think care about the property, just want that money....kinda like slumlords.

STAY AWAY! If I could give it one stars I absolutely would. This is a classic example of you get what you pay for. It was late when I booked a room here through hotels-com. I was unfamiliar with Port Richey not to be confused with New Port Richey (different places) and thought I was getting a great deal. The guy at the front looked bored and uninterested in anything. He checks me in, I go to the room and noticed the hotel area was overrun with sketchy people, drug addicts etc. Upon entering the room the smell of mold and mildew hit me before my eyes could take in the room, which was a little dark as it was missing a light. I noticed the linen was a little damp and the pillows were past their time. As I always do when staying at a hotel, I checked the edges of the bed for bed bug droppings. To my horror there were sooo many. I left immediately. I went to him and he tried to give me a room across the way. That's a big no. While checking out the cops showed up for an issue with drugs, and said they felt sorry for people who show up and don't know the area. NEVER AGAIN. Please see attached photos.

Worst hotel I've ever had the experience of staying at. There's roaches, most of the appliances are either broken or missing, and the rooms weren't cleaned before going in. Power went out in my room and they never fixed it. Had to go through it to get my deposit back. Junkies everywhere trying to break into rooms, police are there every single day. The only thing nice about it was the pool. It costs more to stay there than nicer hotels and they will not refund your money to you if you check out earlier than what you paid. STAY FAR AWAY

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! Nichole and Solan are literally the sweetest most helpful desk workers ive encountered in years. the cleaning staff is always polite and friendly, and the back suites are amazing for the price. anyone who says they couldnt get service simply didnt take the time to talk to staff and request what they needed. ive been here for several weeks and am extremely pleased w the amount of safety including active cameras and night time armed security guard who patrols regularly.
