La Villa Motel - Featured Reviews (84)
Reasonably clean, South Asian owned. Sure, it's a run down old motel, but the room had a new laminate floor, the AC worked well, there was a microwave and large fridge. No coffeepot. Bathroom was clean and serviceable, but nothing fancy. Furniture was old but sound, WiFi worked well. Beds were comfortable, and the sheets were clean. No bugs seen or felt. No bad smells. Hallway carpet was ratty, but who cares about that? Nice quiet neighborhood. Barely interacted with the staff, but what little we did, they were polite and professional. For the price, a good deal.
I loved the owner she’s very sweet. Very quiet and chill. Everyone’s inviting. Really enjoyed my stay (3 1/2 months)
There is a VICIOUS German Shepard in the office, it has bitten people so steer clear of this place..don't let your children near this place
Stayed at La Villa for 6 months while on Zion power plant decommission. It was Perfect for my needs. Clean & Comfortable. Nothing fancy but decent place to just rest. I did save some money by negotiating rates in person before staying. Paying Cash helps. I would recommend to a friend. When I stayed they did offer weekly rates.
The rooms are bad. Won't stay there again. Looks like they don't clean. My sister had shaggy rug in her room from way back when. Seems more like a place that if someone doesn't have a home or an apartment they would stay there because it's cheap. We only stayed one night so we handled it
Have no idea what these other people are talking about, this place is a dive. Room was filthy, had and old TV, holes and dirt on the walls. Cobwebs, dust, and dead cockroaches, cracked tile in shower, plastic shower curtain rod wouldn't stay in place because of the busted up tile. Everything was dirty, long black hair on the sheet when i pulled down the bedspread. No blanket - they expect you to use the bedspread as a blanket/comforter - YUCK, looks like they hadn't been washed in a while. Frayed carpet to bathroom causing carpet tacks to stick up - but wouldn't advise going barefoot anyway - I bought brand new pink flip flops that I wore in the motel only and the bottoms of them were filthy from the disgusting sticky, stained carpet after just one day in the room (stayed two nights - was stuck). My cell phone was dead and I didn't know what to do. I was in tears, tried to leave as much luggage in the car as possible. Grocery carts up to doors on outside of building (what kind of people live there). Had to buy a Cubs blanket at the Jewel for 30.00. Charged me 15.00 in taxes for two nights. Had to use a regular key to enter room from hot filthy hallway. I am leaving most of my luggage in the garage as I arrived home, and taking out doing laundry as I empty it. Yes, it's that bad, please don't stay here. I couldn't sleep due to the anxiety, I was in tears.
Guy that runs the place was rude and unreasoning and smoking inside the lobby when we got there. there were holes in the walls, stains on the ground, and the comforters were dirty. We also were unsure if the rooms were cleaned or not prior because there was a cup of mystery liquid in one room. He said they could only refund half of what i payed... luckily we were able to get a full refund after explaining and talking to a different staff member that we had no desire to stay there.
This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. On the plus side, the room looked and smelled pretty clean. On the negative side, the beds (there were 3 of them for some reason) all squeaked like they were wrapped in plastic. It was very noisy. There was no lid on the toilet and the chairs had such bad stains on them that we sat on towels. You could hear everything that went on in the room above, including the people walking, talking and using their bathroom. The shower ran from warm to ice cold to scalding in a matter of a few minutes. The air conditioning unit was missing many of the buttons and looked to be quite old. We were quite surprised we got it to work.
Met the nice husband/wife couple who own the place. Enjoyed the coffee. I ordered a grill cheese sandwich. She asked if I wanted garlic and something else I donât remember. Absolutely best grilled cheese sandwich ever! Was able to sit and relax in
We are from Texas and we stumbled in to this great place. Jimmy his cousin and Beth and Charlie made us feel at home. If you are ever in the area then stop in! Tell them John and Mary Lou sent you they will treating you like family!! Great place!!!
