La Reserve Bed & Breakfast - Featured Reviews (255)
For the price of a hotel room, La Reserve gives you an apartment: Living Room, Bedroom and full Kitchen. High ceilings big windows and fully furnished, dishes and all, this is a two building side by side arrangement, breakfast is in one of them.|At breakfast, we met really interesting people. Communal dining assures a conversation if someone breaks the ice. I was somewhat disappointed with the " continental" breakfast. But it was minor. Good bedding (very important) quiet, and secure. I liked the neighborhood too. Near Rittenhouse Square, near a nice grocery store, and on a tree lined residential block.
Stayed 4 nights here in large apartment style room with sitting area and small kitchen. Old style furnishings and beautiful main dining room and sitting room area|Breakfast was continental midweek with cereals, hard boiled eggs, selection of breads bagels and toast, pastries and fresh fruit. At weekend we had cooked omelette, home made cherry cake, filled croissants and avocado on bagels as well as midweek selection|Very friendly staff and place spotlessly clean|Location very safe and residential close to 2 great restaurants we ate at, Seafood Unlimited and Southgate with brilliant Happy Hour food and drink offers. |Would definitely stay here again and the complimentary cocktails at their sister hotel The Morgan, was a great excuse to visit that hotel which was a beautiful hotel and again lovely staff
We were in Philadelphia for two nights, and the La Reserve was a terrific location.
There was a shared breakfast space that allowed us to get to know the other guests. As I never shut the hell up, I relished such moments!
The breakfast buffet was of the highest quality.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I loved the decor.
My partner and I loved our stay here! Dennis was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. Our room was clean and well kept and the furnishings were gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would definitely come back here!
I was coming into the city for a conference and needed an affordable, yet comfortable place to stay — La Réserve fit the bill. Not only was it charming, but the serving was comforting and warm. The breakfast was substantial and the beds were comfortable. Additionally, the neighbourhood surrounding it was super accessible and I was able to discover several coffee shops and charming boutiques.
Charming B&B (a bit old-fashioned) in a great location.
Could benefit from a bit of renovation.
Nice staff but didn't really see the host. Not what we are used to for B&Bs.
Good breakfast with good products but fairly limilted.
I stayed at LaReserve for three nights in late March/early April in the Lafayette suite. It's actually more of a one bedroom apartment than a suite. The space was spotless and very comfortable with large rooms and high ceilings. It has a full kitchen which I always appreciate when traveling. Although I did not see a thermostat in the suite, it was a comfortable temperature day and night and I appreciated not having a noisy heating/AC unit which is present in most hotel rooms. I only needed breakfast one day and it far surpassed what I would call a continental breakfast. The location is excellent - only a couple blocks from Rittenhouse Square and multiple good restaurants. That said, it was a quiet street in a mostly residential area. It was very reasonably priced. I have already recommended it to friends in Philly for their guests and plan to stay there again when in town. Thank you!!
Wonderful b&b with a wonderful host! As a solo traveler I felt very safe walking around the area and the breakfast was lovely. There was some street noise but I always bring earplugs with me so I wasn’t bothered.
My husband and I came to Akwaaba Philly for the first time Labor Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We took the Amtrak train which was a quick 1hr ride from Baltimore. Additionally, it was a quick 10 minute Uber ride to the B&B. The place was
Coffee here was amazing! The iced latte was great! The black coffee was something else! So fruity and aromatic - truly a great experience! Very much recommended getting their beans too!
A must stop if you are in Philly!!! Kevin's creations are incredibly delicious. Put down the cheese steak and go grab some tasty vegan, gf and dairy free options. Dessert=a meal. Back-to-back visits made us super fans!!! Pls open up a place in J-
Joined on a student membership for the summer and really enjoyed my experience. All the trainers were highly knowledgeable (and incredibly athletic) and made sure everyone felt welcome in the gym. When I was dealing with a shoulder injury, they were
A unique hotel with history and a very nice decor to enhance any stay while traveling. We stayed there for a couple days during the New Year's Holiday and had a wonderful experience. Great location in the middle of the city, safe and close to everyth
