3 night stay for a conference and had a wonderful experience here. Many rooms are poolside and includes a hot tub. Very nice for the chilly evenings in December. The staff is extremely pleasant and the grounds keepers do a fantastic job... it's very lovely to just walk around and wander. The Marketplace has great coffee and snacks if you need something quick. Def recommend renting a car as there's not much within walking distance other than what's on the resort grounds.
Our experience at La Quinta was fantastic. The property was beautiful and the staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive. We came primarily for the access to multiple golf courses, the many pools, and the opportunity to play tennis daily. Both myself and our kids did group tennis clinics as well as private lessons with different coaches throughout the week, and the quality of the instruction was outstanding! While we all had fun, we also received great feedback from the pros, who were attentive and engaged in the clinics and lessons. The adult clinics had various levels with strong players, but the overall atmosphere was extremely friendly, fun, and cooperative. I especially enjoyed my lessons with Kevin C. and got a lot out of his instruction and input. I can't recommend their tennis program enough and we hope to return next year!
i absolutely love this resort. it is an oasis of charm and wonderful service in an otherwise largely uncharming town. we come twice a year, once for a sports tournament and once for coachella. the starlight suites are amazing and totally worth the extra cost. i am always to happy to return to la quinta after the days events. the staff is incredibly agreeable and a particular thank you to martin and the front desk team who happily accommodated our many requests over the long weekend.
This was our families favorite week ever. We’ve been to La Quinta numerous times. Upon arrival at the Tennis and Pickleball facility, the Director of Tennis, Kevin Connolly, jumped up from behind the desk and greeted us as returning clientele. He sincerely cared that our needs were taken care of: arranged for courts, offered to match hitting partners. The staff members were awesome, it is clear they all love tennis (and soccer). The courts were impeccably clean and center court is stunning. Upkeep and activity was discrete but constant: windscreens replaced, vines trimmed down, an adult Nike Camp, and a lot of Pickle Ball action. Yet it never felt crowded and guests mingled casually. The Spa was pretty and peaceful.||The LQ Resort’s backdrop next to the mountains is exquisite. The resort center vibes fun music and cocktails. This and the restaurants are beautifully situated along the Palm Tree lined entrance, colorful flower beds, valet parking and flowing fountains. We enjoyed the market for coffee and a causal smoothie. Cute variety of friendly vendors in the wing of gift shops. Offsite, it was exciting to tasted some of the Old Town La Quinta’s new restaurants too. Earth Wind and Fire were playing, for the AMEX golf event…several of us guests danced and enjoyed the concert. ||For those unfamiliar with La Quinta the Resort has been around for decades. The meandering charm of the pathways to casitas grounds provides an elegant olde world charm. There were a variety of fruit filled citrus trees (grapefruit, tangerine in December/January). The kitchens and bathrooms are ensconced with painted and Saltillo pavers, hand wrought iron curtain rods. We brought some family games which we ended up enjoying with some other families. ||The January weather was perfect, still warm enough to feel the 70 degree sun and swim time. Hope this helps fellow travelers, it was a perfect 5 days of tennis and relaxation for us.
We totally enjoyed our three night stay at La Quinta resort. It was a wonderful place to be celebrating a landmark birthday. Fabiola R at the front Desk was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with our check in and entire 3 night stay.||The grounds and pools are soothing to the soul. Just what we were looking for for a quick break before the holidays.||Each morning we had breakfast at Twenty6- where the food was well prepared and presented and service very efficient. We liked the huveos rancheros, avocado toast and American breakfast. All went well with a tasty bloody Mary we shared each morning.||Also all housekeepers we encountered were friendly and helpful.
The resort is almost 100 years old, and some parts of it really need an update to make sure that things age well. I am thinking of rooms and bathrooms (the tiles). Really friendly staff (not just in the lobby but also housekeeping and maintenance), clean, attentive details (free water in the fridge), beautiful resort, somewhat charming. Highlight were the many pools and hot tubs sprinkled throughout the resort. |Not really sure the place is worth its money but a nice and relaxing experience nevertheless.
Absolutely beautiful! Peaceful setting, we stayed in a nice room with a balcony near a semi-private pool and hot tub. The staff were extremely helpful/friendly. The resort was nicely landscaped, and so quiet (you could hear a pin drop). The “town square” type area was lively and decorated for the holidays. We ate at Morgan’s, Adobe Grill, and the Marketplace. The service and food were great. One suggestion, it’s easy to get turned around, so ask for a map. If you are elderly, ask for a historic cottage near the front desk area. It’s still attractive/quiet, with less walking. The tennis courts, workout gym, shops all very nice. We didn’t try the spa. The location was convenient to shopping on El Paseo and sight seeing. The Palm Springs area is spread out, so it helps to do maps/directions searches of the things you want to do before booking a hotel. We were about 40 minutes from the aerial tram and 20 minutes from the Living desert zoo. Most definitely recommend this resort!
La Quinta resort is the BEST getaway. My family and I live in Los Angeles and we come here at least twice a year. As soon as we step foot on the sprawling grounds, we feel relaxed. Whether you are there for golf, tennis, the pools, or just some time away, La Quinta is the place for you. We have stayed in all the different types of rooms and we love the fact that each spot on the property offers a slightly different stay. The staff is wonderful and the restaurants/bars offer delicious food and service. Can't wait to get back there.
