La Quinta Inn by Wyndham St. Louis Hazelwood - Airport North - Hotel in Hazelwood - 318 Taylor Rd, USA

This was literally the worst La Quinta I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many throughout different states. I booked the room through Wyndham directly, I did not use a third party site. Nowhere was it disclosed that there would be a $150 deposit. Had we not been traveling from out of state, and the allotted time to cancel and get our money back passed, we would have left immediately. Thank God we had the money. (The deposit was returned 4 days later, however, that is not the point, what if we didn't have the money to pay that unexpected deposit) The room was filthy. The carpet in the hallway (on the 3rd floor) was disgusting. Nothing that a normal carpet cleaner could fix. Not to mention the carpet was coming up and could cause someone to trip. The walls in our room were filthy. There was a huge rust spot in the shower. The smell of incense when we walked in our room took our breath. I was in shock. I can deal with a dated hotel/ motel. We were there for sleep. At least clean the place. (I regret not taking pictures so those reading my review will know I'm not just being a Karen.) The gentleman that checked us in was nice. The location was good.

Overall good experience for budget hotel. Our room was newly renovated and clean. Yes the main part of the hotel smells like weed, but the room was fine. Nbd. Breakfast was mid but the waffles hit. Desk clerk was helpful and friendly.

This is a place where kindness and customer service reigns. Friendly faces greet you throughout the day. It may be a 2 star hotel but every one of the staff has a 5 star attitude. Pet friendly and my cats appreciate a nice window and comfortable place to stay. Yummy fresh breakfast in the mornings Very considerate to travel nurses. Definitely a safe place to stay. Drove from Florida, Amazing staff. Always call ahead if making reservations to have your room ready. Had a little hiccup in the beginning but was smoothed out for me to check in with my animals I have two dogs and a cat. They were accommodating to my ESA animals. I recommend this hotel especially if you want to be near store, food, and highway.

clean comfortable bed. microwave, fridge, and coffee maker in room. the furniture was arranged so that the A/C was blowing directly under the work desk, the phone in the room did not work, the aerator on sink faucet was clogged so the water flow was decreased, the cable TV was below par with some channels freezing up making watching a program unbearable. The staff was polite and professional, and breakfast was OK. Sausage was available, not no eggs. Biscuits and gravy along with waffles and the normal bread/pastry selections. For some reason they have a $150 deposit so be ready for that.

My family checked in at night and the night shift workers were extremely rude. The whole front lobby reeked of marijuana, got to our room and it didn’t have any towels, odd smell, carpet didn’t get vacuumed so it was nasty with crumbs and paper, our microwave was nasty had no plate with it, our remote for the tv was missing. Bathtub was stained with dirt. My husband addressed these things and the staff got even worse. Morning shift was nicer and helped with what they could.

First room we were in was a mess. On the pull out couch there was broken up tobacco all over the bed portion of it. As well as trash, and a pair of women’s leggings. The room also smelled of weed and cigarettes. There was also a considerable amount of semen all over the wall. The website also advertised a pool and hot continental breakfast. Neither exist at this hotel. The gentleman running the front desk was nice and helpful and I know this hotels problems are not his fault. However, the hotel needs massive improvements and needs to be cleaned.

The room was clean and had a great personal touch with Dove soap and soft tissue but half of the hotel is under construction and they force all guests to pay a deposit of $150 to gain their room keys. It is a quiet hotel and the complimentary breakfast is muffins due to the construction. I would recommend this location just be sure to have a cash deposit on hand.
