La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Kansas City Lenexa - Hotel in Lenexa - 9461 Lenexa Dr, USA

Very clean room for a good value, everything worked, family friendly. I was skeptical at first as the reviews were mixed, but turned out to be “ok”. The room are in good condition, large room but small bathroom. Cool vanity mirror with lighting system and Dove soap was a plus. Only double beds, but we may do. Laminate floor, felt slightly “dingy” but clean, but made the room echo. No signs of bugs. Clean beds, clean towels, comfortable. Breakfast was decent. No elevator and swimming pool, but ice Machine on every floor. Would stay again!

We were on the first floor which felt like an old basement.The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. None of us were able to sleep. The bathroom sink had a light up mirror which was cool and the TV was huge and awesome. Breakfast was pretty good. The pool was dirty and cloudy and had trash inside.

Traveled to KC on business. The day was full of thunder storms. I stayed in room 137 and when I checked in there was a puddle of water by the AC unit. Not sure if the source was storm or condensate. Either way there was water on the ground.||They updated the floor to LVT wood grain tile which was nice. Bed was comfortable and the bath towels were soft. TV was new and was easy to access my premium channels. Those updates and creature comforts, they were above average.||Breakfast ran out of sausages, and eggs at 8:30am. Told the front desk and they did take care of it by 9:00, but I was already eaten and on my way by the time it was resolved. This I put at below average which offsets the room updates above.

We didn’t stay at this hotel after all. Booked it after driving for several hours and needed a place to sleep. Filthy is an understatement, they tried to give us another room that was also filthy. The back door was propped open with rocks and didn’t lock at all or need a room key. The bed sheets were full of someone else’s hair. The dust on the desk chair was about an inch thick. The bedding was clearly unwashed. The rooms were not swept. The halls were not vacuumed. I’m surprised the trash can was empty. The stairs were caked with crumbs and dirt. The halls reeked of musk & mildew with a hint of fabreeze. We didn’t feel safe staying with our kids. I was promised a refund, that we still haven’t received. I was told to call the manager at 10am the next day I have called for over a week and have been given a different story every day. The parking lot is very dark. The front desk is very unorganized. Pretty sure bugs live rent free here too! DO NOT STAY HERE!

There was caked-on dirt & grease on the bathroom door, light switches and the two drains in the sink. The AC/heating unit was also very dirty. The bathroom fan did not work at all. There needs to be a door between the vanity/sink area and sleeping area due to bright lights and lack of privacy. Two exits on the side of the building would not close securely. The “do not disturb” sign was taken from our outer door handle and all of the used towels had been replaced with clean ones on day 1 of our stay.

Positive: The ac in my room was making a lot of noise and the staff showed me to a quieter room to see if it would better suit me before switching me easily. Great customer service and understanding staff. Negative: ""

Terrible place to stay! Not worth the money!! Horrible service, air didn't work, pool not opened, dirty. Don't stay here!! I checked in with my 2 daughters and we opened our room to a sauna. The air showed to be set at 60 degrees high cool, but it was hardly blowing and not cool at all. We decided to give it a little time in case it was just turned on, so we ate our food. After 45 mins, it was still hotter than outside so i went to the front desk and told him our air wasn't working. He just stared at me with wide, guilty eyes and didn't have anything to say. I asked if anyone could look at it and he told me no. I asked if we could get a room with working air, he told me no. I asked if they had a fan we could use, it was after 11pm and all stores are closed, again he said no. I went back to the room, turned the unit off and back on, still no cold air. So we packed our things, had to find a new hotel in the middle of the night when most are booked! I told him I needed a refund, we were there for less than 2 hours and they could not give us a room with working air, during the summer when it was 90 degrees! He claimed to give me a refund but never got on the computer, never wrote anything down, just handed me a card with the email and phone number of the hotel. I checked my bank statement and I was charged not only for the 3 nights, but a separate charge for an additional nights stay. Don't go here!!

Stayed here while in town for a soccer tournament. We booked a king suite for us and our son as he doesn't mind using a pull out couch. The room was huge. It had two rooms, a living room area and the bedroom area. The only downfall to the layout was that the bathroom was in the bedroom so our son had to come through anytime he needed to use it. The curtains on the double doors separating the rooms were see through so there wasn't really any privacy. Room included two tvs, two mini fridges, a microwave, a couch and recliner, and an electric fire place. There were stairs that led right to where our room was but we needed to use the elevator due to the amount of luggage we had. Because of this we had to travel through what seemed like a maze to find our room. It wasn't set up like your average hotel where you only have to turn either left or right when getting off on a floor. Each floor had 3 or more hallways it seemed and lots of ramps. Breakfast was decent. Pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, and cereal. Overall we would stay here again. It was a decent value for what we paid and having the room we booked being bigger really worked best for our family.
