La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods - Hotel in Colorado Springs - 4385 Sinton Rd, USA

Got charged a $100 "cleaning fee" for no reason. We left that room clean, all the trash was in the bin, the bed was put together. The towels were together. Nothing left in the room. All this after a cleaner walked in on my husband naked claiming we had already checked out. The whole hotel smelled like cat piss, my husband woke up with bug bites on him. The room had mold on the walls but we put up with it for a night and somehow we are charged a cleaning fee. They have homeless people taking up most of the rooms, I walked in for breakfast and felt like I was in a soup kitchen. This place is pathetic. My husband requested the manager call on the 30th with no response still and when I called they just said to call the bank and get it reversed if I'm not happy.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Definitely would not recommend staying here due to break ins and as everyone recently is stating the hotel over all is in horrible condition, missing items in our room, broken lights not working, and thin walls to hear your neighbors clearly. The only good thing about the hotel was the front staff who helped the best they could, the manager still has not reached out after 24 hours for a refund for the damages , While we only got this hotel to check in and sleep for the night the 6 hours we were there parked was enough for our passenger door window to be broken out and any bit of items left in the car scattered everywhere making the kids very upset the “bad man broke the car.” Plus 2 other cars broken into as well. We missed our show that morning cleaning all the glass so I definitely again would not recommend staying here. The north academy location would be a better alternative.

They need to update their showers and toilets and light I did not feel comfortable showering because of the stains in the shower. The toilet barely flushes and wiggled out of the ground when you sat on it. Beds were good but the floors and around the base boards need to be DEEP cleaned! Overall the front desk was nice but this place really needs to invest in better cleaners or remodeling

Ok so I have stayed here before and I know the difference between hotel scales based on what you pay for. I’ve stayed in everything from sex worker motels to world class resorts. When traveling through for the night I just look for some decent pillows and clean sheets. I love La Quinta and this one was great 2 years ago. The front desk girl is super nice. The room is super clean and the beds are great. But I saw one small roach and behind the night stand there were ants coming from under the floor board. It makes me really sad because I think it’s a good cheap motel otherwise. But I do think they just need some better insect repellent in the building. I just turned on the lights, sprayed some stuff I had around where the ants were, and moved the bed from the wall a bit. In my experience, this detours insects from wanting to be in the room because it’s bright and occupied. It makes me sad but I won’t be back to this particular location. Morning update: good news is the blackout curtains are awesome. But the shower pressure is almost unbearable. It’s high pressure. I’d never put someone under 12 in it. And I was like where the soap, there’s so much shampoo and no shower gel…it’s over on the sink next to the faucet. Why? Pro tip: ants and insects hate citrus (lemon, oranges) and mint. I carry oranges essential oil on me as I travel. You can use that with water anywhere you are worried about insects even if they’re not obvious. This includes camping too.

One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. Our first room reeked of cigarettes despite a supposed no smoking policy. The tv didn’t work at all. Moved to a new room. Smelled better - “blankets” (little more than a second sheet) were stained. Several people working on their cars blasting music until after 10 and before 7am. They kept advertising their poop which, at the end of June was still “winterized” and even at check in they said there was a pool but no, it was shut down which made my children up and I wouldn’t have stayed here if I had known so thanks for the fast advertising there. Not sure why the beds had three pillows but whatever least of my problems. Paper thin walls and doors didn’t quite close all the way. Our toilet was not secure and wobbled when you sit on it. Shower had almost no water pressure. Miserably stay.

The breakfast was severely lacking to the point that we went to the Circle K to get our coffee. The room was clean, but the bathroom maintenance was disgusting. Neither the sink nor the bathtub stoppers worked. We had to prop open or remove. The toilet did not flush easily nor well. We chose this La Quinta based on a fantastic experience at the La Quinta at the Denver Tech Center. We were extremely disappointed in the Garden of the Gods La Quinta.

The staff was amazing, and very friendly. Buuuut, understaffed. Room was missing the shower curtain, took over 7 hours and 4 requests to get one. My daughter stepped on broken glass in the room, it's been over a day, still have not seen anyone to clean it. Actually found a broom and dust pan in the hall and did it yourself. Bring plugs for your electronics, room is not updated for USB .POOL IS CLOSED. Seriously, if you have a few extra dollars to spend, go somewhere else.

At first I had to move rooms because the TV wasn't working. Also the ice machine didn't work and you had to ask the front desk for ice. The beds were supposed to be Queen but they were full size. The hand sanitizer at the front door squirt on me. And the pool wasn't open at all during my stay and they had a black tarp over it. The people were okay but the maintenance person wasn't there. But don't come here at all unless you want a poor experience.
