Family vacation to TX. Our goal was to try new food, see the beaches and overall just relax. This place was the biggest mistake I had ever made in my life. There were 7 of us so we had 3 rooms. Roaches!!! My daughter demanded to switch rooms asap which they did. Every room had stained sheets and pillows, the pool was full of green slim, lights didn’t work! Everything was just dirty!! We checked in at 10pm and everyone was exhausted. I tried letting the front desk know about the things that was wrong but was met with blank face. We slept in our beach towels. After contacting Travelocity and explaining the situation, they said as long as we check out we would not be charged for our full stay. My husband and I went in to turn in all our keys and said we’re checking out and leaving. I again told them the reasons why. We got the same blank face. We quickly checked out that morning after finding a hotel to accommodate all of us. It’s been months and they still haven’t refunded us although it’s a FULLY refundable property!!

If I could rate this zero I would, First off we got a NON SMOKING room and it smelled straight like cigarettes. Cleaning lady tried entering at 11 in the NIGHT. There was roaches, no shower curtain, they gave us a spray to eliminate the smoking odor. Maintenance tried coming in 3 times in one day. The room was completely ugly. Don’t recommend don’t waste your money here. Also bring your own toilet paper that is super transparent. Tub was clogged too

0 stars, here is my disastrous story. I am and veteran and a police officer. I reserved a room over a month prior for 3 nights 2 beds, and a pet deposit. I arrived at this location at 2pm and made sure all the reservations were correct. I didn't check the room before getting the room assigned to me and my family. It was my 2 daughters, my spouse and myself. After checking in my family and I went to the beach at surf side beach. Had a blast as we always do. Not thinking that we would get back to the room and start to find problems. ||Problems:||1. The room smelled like smoke after asking for a non smoking. And also smelled like mildew. ||2. The sheets were dirty. ||3. There was trash under the beds. ||4. There was mold on the shower curtain. ||5. The TV didn't work. ||6. The ac had some trash on it. ||7. The pool wasn't open even tho they advertised they have a pool. ||||After finding these issues I went to he front desk to ask for a refund do to the unacceptable room. I was told they couldn't refund me the whole amount for the room (mind you I was in the room maybe an hour total). Just to be told they wouldn't refund.||We had to pack up our daughters and go find another place to stay. I told the management I would be calling corporate and would be leaving bad reviews with Google and Better Business Bureau and the management said that's OK. They clearly don't care about customer service. ||I highly recommend you spend the extra money and go to Best Western. ||Please read the reviews and take them seriously. Ididn't. And had to leave with money spent on nothing. Wasted.||DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE OR THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Room was not cleaned very well at all. Crumbs all over the floor that then got onto the beds . Turned the bottom of my feet black. Toilet didn't flush well, ice maker out of order , pool was green. Breakfast that is another story!!! I was told coffee tasted like nicotine dip ,it looked to nasty to even try.only food really was waffle maker , butter in big tub in fridge. No orange juice apple came out of the orange side . Then a roach was crawling on the table trying to get my waffle

Just say NO!!! Non-smoking room reeks of cigarette smoke, paid extra for king suite room did not get that 2 queen beds instead. AC barely works. We had to go buy a fan to keep the room somewhat tolerable. 1 towel for 2 people, asked for more , they never came so we had to go get them. Pool was supposed to be OPEN, It was not... outdated, shabby. If we hadn't been so exhausted, we definitely would have moved to a different hotel. This was not a good experience.

I just want to say not the cleanest motel I have been in but the service was great. The lady at the front was very helpful. Had a confusion with our booking date and she helped me fix it and saved us money. Tv didn’t work but they sent someone to fix it. Couldn’t swim in pool because it was green and it had been raining so couldn’t swim anyway. Wasn’t a lot of choices for breakfast but it was still enough for us. Orange juice had apple in it. It looks like they have some repairs they need to fix but other than that I would return again.

Positive: The location was nice. Room wasn?t terrible. Blankets are very thin so I recommend bringing an extra. Negative: The breakfast was nasty. Rotten fruit. Juice machine did not work. Ended up not taking anything from there and just going somewhere else completely.

Where do I start???? Well i checked in, got my room keys, get to the room and it’s a double when i reserved a single king. Ask about it and the front desk person tells me that’s all we have. Well ma’am you should’ve told me that before you checked me in. Secondly the room smelled badly. I had to go to Walmart and get some type of air freshener. Third, my my bottom door locked didn’t work and the top latch was barely hanging on. Unfortunately I still had to stay cause I was working in the area and all hotels were full and booked. This place needs renovations really bad. I would never ever stay there again and I wouldn’t suggest anyone else to stay.
