La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Calhoun - Hotel in Calhoun - 150 Cracker Barrel Dr, USA

I have never paid this much money to stay in such a nasty hotel. When you see the pictures you will be shocked. LA Quinta/ by Wyndham in Calhoun Ga is awful. Our journey began at checkin, it was obvious I interrupted the night manager from either a text or game she was playing. While she was is checking me in she takes another call on her cell phone, puts it on speaker and talks to them while checking me in. Then we go to the room… NASTY! Air conditioning doesn’t work properly. Refrigerator was turned off and the room was dirty and in bad repair. Then to add injury to insult, we went to breakfast the next morning.. not here because we didn’t want to get some type of sickness from there free breakfast! It just stands to reason the kitchen is more than likely as dirty as the rooms. We come back to find that our door cards have already been turned off! I had to wait 5 min. For the morning manager to finish wiping down a table in the dining room, then when she was done doing what she was doing it was time to take care of ( a paying guest needs) Turn my cards back on. I’m thinking I’m done with Wyndham!!! The rest or our trips this year we will be staying at Hiltons|I guess you truly get what you pay for!… but wait I didn’t even get that here.

The lobby looks nice, but that's as far as it goes. The hallway on the second floor was stiflingly hot. The room air worked, that goodness, but the a/c cover was askew and rattled. The room looked okay, but the microwave was perched atop the fridge, and in an awkward location. Not noticeable at first, I later discovered stains on the bed linens and many stains on the towels in the bathroom. The water in the shower barely got hot. The morning breakfast was horrible tasting powdered eggs (my husband spit them out). No fruit at all. Just an empty bowl. No water water for tea, and the coffee carafes were not labeled as to which was decaf. They had bagels, but no cream cheese. Very low quality. Even the orange juice in the beverage dispenser tasted bad!||And it got worse. I hotwired this room (so basically prepaid). I had to leave my credit card info... and guess what... they charged my account. Hotwire also charged my account. Both myself and Hotwire have tried to contact this hotel. I was told to call V.J. (Veejay?), but he never seems to be in. One lady I talked to said he's dodging the calls. Even Hotwire can't get a hold of anyone at the hotel to fix it. I am waiting until the charge is posted to dispute it with my credit card company.

If you want a hotel that's simple and clean do not choose this hotel. The building itself is not inviting. The air quality and circulation is terrible. The rooms were not clean. There were stains on the bed sheets, the furniture clearly had not been wiped down. We cleaned the tub and the amount of gunk that was in that tub suggests that it had not been cleaned for at least a week. The curtains were dirty and dust was everywhere. It seems as if these people on clean on a surface level basis, they do not pay attention to details. Your worst enemy wouldn't house you like this. And don't get me started on the breakfast... tell me why I went to get a biscuit and it was molded? There was no one attending the food. Speaking of service, if the workers weren't behind the desk I wouldn't have even known they worked there. They wore whatever, and were on their phones. One lady went out for a smoke break leaving no one at the front desk. This was below satisfactory and honestly unbelievable. You have one job be passionate and do it correctly. Lastly, Ms. Owner Ma'am please don't respond to this saying "thank you for choosing to stay with us" because I am not thankful that I had to stay here with my family. And You shouldnt be proud of this as an owner, and if you are i wonder what your house looks like. Also I typed this sitting on your nasty bed, because I have no where else to go.

We had a horrible stay here. The location is fine. The service was okay. The hotel was terribly hot on the elevator and 2nd floor. Our room would not cool off to a comfortable temperature. You could barely breathe on the elevator. My towel had a rip and hole in it. There was a taco bell receipt left from the last person who stayed between the bed and nightstand. The carpet needed vacuumed. There was limited lighting. There were 2 lamps, and one didn't have a light bulb in it.

The staff was nice and very friendly. The Breakfast was offered at 5pm, that was nice since I am an early riser. Internet bandwidth was fine. I did see and hear that some of the rooms are not fully remodeled as yet upstairs, but I am sure they will get them them soon.

DO NOT STAY HERE! It’s unsafe, everything about this hotel is disgusting! We were in our room for 5 min and had to run back to our car and we were locked INSIDE our room and couldn’t get out. I called and they had to come help us get out! The outlets had no covers on the the carpet was filthy. The mattress had stains. The shower was moldy. The toilet was a standard size with a handicap seat on it and it wasn’t even bolted down properly. Do yourself a huge favor and stay somewhere else! Even after complaining nothing was done.

Location and breakfast was great was there for 2 nights… first day went great the next day went well, but went to check out and forgot my wallet upstairs. Came back to see housekeeping was already in the room, got my wallet and all my cash was taken out of it (over $200) when I asked the housekeeper about it he pretended to not know English but the day prior to that we had a full conversation..

I only stay here if I absolutely have to anymore. They need to remodel the entire place. At least new carpet throughout. Ac has mold in it and showers barely get warm enough to use
