Hotel located in a very good location. It's close to lot of restaurants. I booked this hotel for my sequoia National park visit. This is a closest good city next to sequoia with all the options. Rooms are clean well stocked for our stay. Free breakfast has very limited options. We stayed here for labour day weekend, and morning breakfast area was super crowded. Lot of people were seen chatting on the breakfast table after they finished breakfast while others were standing waiting for the table. You will get bread, eggs, waffle and other cereals. These are the common items in the daily basis.
Terrible service I won't recommend to nobody. The person at the front desk had a bad attitude with us. The exaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working, the couch bed was terrible you can feel the springs my family ended up sleeping in the floor because front desk says they can do nothing about it. Bathrooms in the lobby are disgusting. The breakfast room is too small, and the food is cold. My mom had to wait 20 minutes to get hot water for her tea. The elevator sounds like breaking apart, and the pool had so much chlorine. If you are trying to have a great time on your vacation, do not stay at this place
The room was not clean but after a day of driving, dinner then sleep was all that we wanted. Around midnight the fire alarm goes off. Chaos. It clears, the one staff person in the hall says it’s an accident. Minutes later, the alarm goes off again. It’s one guest causing the alarm. No explanation. I and many others are out in the halls trying to understand what is happening. I hear the night manager telling the guest “one more time and you’re out of the hotel” but no explanation for all the guests in the hall. Poor customer service, lack of communication in an emergency, just a bad experience overall for my family and others. I will not stay here again.
Quiet and overall good experience as usual at this La Quinta. I grew up in Visalia, so every time we come back home to visit, this my hotel of choice. I was local police, so there are only a couple of hotel in Visalia I know to trust, this is one of them. Other than being overall good, Suite 301 could use some touch to paint and new couch cushions😁. Other than that, good experience as expected!
I wanted to sleep. The alarm started blaring after 6 am. I was a cat on the ceiling. Scared me from my sleep. People smoking in their rooms. I tried to go back to sleep. Then it went off again. I was up and ready to leave. There is no offer of a discount for next time. Since we left for the convenience. Beautiful rooms.
Unacceptable in the modern world to have a breakfast that a) used only disposable plastic and polystyrene and b) was completely disgusting.
Even the mini hash browns were ice cold as they hadn’t been defrosted properly. The water tasted of chemicals. Nothing fresh unless you count the lonely orange on display.
The room was clean (hence 2 rather than 1 stars). The bed had an indentation the size of Half Dome Rock.
The room key kept failing. It took four attempts to reset it.
I was depressed after staying here.
I was staying at a neighboring|Hotel but for the shuttle service to Sequoia we had to meet in front of La Quinta. He asked me if we were staying at this hotel and I said no but this is the place for the shuttle pickup , he then immediately told that we had to go outside and wait.We were not allowed to be in the lobby. Before he even answered my question making sure that was the meeting location that I assume you have with the shuttle company he told me I had to go outside. I have never had such horrible front desk service from a hotel. Most hotel front staff are super nice and helpful. The time was around 9:00 am on June 11th. Makes me very glad I went with a different hotel if this is the way they treat potential customers.
The location is ok. The room we had for one night was quite clean and very spacious. The breakfast on the other hand was terrible. For the price we payed, it should have been waaay better.
