Staff was friendly, check in was quick and when I forgot to get a receipt they emailed one to me within minutes. Although the room seemed a little worn, it was large and clean and I found the bed very comfortable. There are two very small things that I experienced: 1) there was no carafe for hot water for tea or instant oatmeal. I had to ask for it and although the staff member was more than kind enough to get it, it would make it easier for staff and guest to just have it available and 2) my room was beside the elevator- the noise didn’t bother me but if you go to bed early or wake up late and see. Light sleeper it might not be the room for you. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would! We stopped at this hotel on our way to Florida. This was a stop that we booked months ago. Check in went well but room smelled so soured it was difficult not to ask for another room. Disgusting to say the least. 5 days later we stop here again because room was booked for our return trip months ago. Black man with long braids tells us he made the decision to cancel our room because they were full. When I asked him why he did not have a good explanation other than they were full. I told him when it was booked it wasn’t full. He could never give me a straight answer which is what a continued to ask why were alowed to book when we did if they were full. He told me he had been gone a couple of days and when he came in today they were full and so he cancelled us. We are Wyndham owners and this is an absolute disgrace. On top of that he tells me it’s not his problem as he behind raising his voice and pointing his finger at me. We have 3 children with us and have been driving for 8 hours. Still don’t understand why we’re cancelled when we have had this booked for months. We won’t be back to this hotel kn our next trip I can assure you of that. I’d recommend new staff up front as well. Maybe someone smart enough to give an answer for their actions that actually makes some sense. Also, customer service 101… never raise your voice at a customer.
If we didn’t have to stop for the baby and fur baby we wouldn’t have.. I read reviews myself and figured it would be okay.. we’ve stayed at several La Quinta hotels over the years with no issues. The staff seemed friendly. What made me write a review was the fact that you could tell our room 101 had been cleaned but not the bathroom. Fortunately we were traveling and I had some dish soap to clean the floor, shower and counter. It has what appeared to be pubic hair literally all over like confetti. I’m not one to complain and honestly I just figured whatever it was one night we were staying and we will get over it.. as I was in the hallway bringing the dog back from a walk I saw house keeping was knocking and I knew my husband was tending to the baby.. I said we are fine just packing up. We don’t need anything.. she asked if we were staying again and I said no we are packing up. She walked away. When I took a few things to the car( traveling with a baby you bring lots) so I took two trips to take things out. The second trip we all went outside (baby, dog, husband and myself) going to just load up what we have and then go back in for a final sweep of the room incase we forgot anything of babies, use the restroom.. etc.. As we walk in I see the door is opened.. odd.. well the staff decided to go in anyways I guess. As I open the door I say hello and the girl with short pixie cut hair was fumbling through the couch and I show her the keys to the room showing her we have not left nor checked out.. mind you check out is noon and it was 9 am.. I do my final sweep with her just staring at me.. we just checked out after that.. we got in late after a long day of travel and it would have been nice to just hangout prior to checking out but I felt we were pushed out.. not a fan. Also if my belonging were in the room still and I told staff we were fine and packing .. leave us alone.. go to home 2 suites it’s next door. Pay the extra. Well worth it.
My family has stayed at this location on several occasions. We chose this hotel due to its nice location. Being a Wyndham owner we try to choose a location allowing us to use reward points. Never before have we had issues. During our first night’s stay on our way to Florida, we encountered a minor conflict with a rude desk clerk. I approached this clerk to verify our return trip hotel confirmation. She asked me what my problem was and I simply said I didn’t have a problem and restated I only wanted confirmation of my reservation for our return trip. She asked again what my problem was and I stated no problem and walked away. Five days later on our return trip, after driving over 8 hours, we stopped at this hotel for our reserved rooms. The clerk very nicely greeted me. I gave him the information about my reservations and at that time, he stated, “oh, I had to cancel your reservation because we are full and I made the decision to cancel your reservation.” I asked how he could do that since I had had my reservations for quite some time and I was not given a straight answer as to why he had decided to do that. I explained we were tired, had tired young children, and how he would like for this to be done to him. I received no good answer from this asst manager and he would not look at me in the eye. I assured him that I was not there to make a scene, but that I and my family had been treated wrongly. We left the hotel and found other accommodations elsewhere.
I booked through a third-party site, and there was a problem with my reservation—the room I had chosen was already taken. The desk found me a different room—an upgrade—and I had a lovely stay.
The breakfast menu included mainstays like waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, milk and fruit juices. I chose the Southern biscuits and gravy. The fresh fruit—bananas and mandarin oranges—were old, but everything else was good.
We checked in around 6pm so a late check in from a long 12 hr drive to get down to the hotel, we walked into the room and immediately got hit with a strong stench of mildew. We checked the beds they seemed fine at first but as I was unpacking I noticed a wall of mold on the window(as seen in the video). When I told hotel staff about it they only offered to change my room the next day because they were booked. No one offered to clean the mold or any other solution to the problem. Later on in the night right before laying down to go to bed a roach crawled over my pillow and my father seen a roach in the bathroom. I had to sleep in a old/dirt chair (so dirty I had to put towels on the armrest). The shower also had what looked to be water damage between the shower itself and the wall. When I asked desk staff about a refund they were rude, inconsiderate and said that because we stayed in the room (we had nowhere else to go mind you) we couldn’t get a refund!!! Yea no way that is appropriate.
Nice and comfortable. Perfect for what we needed. They were extremely kind and courteous, considering we rolled in about 11- 1115pm.
Nice little breakfast section in the morning.
Easy access to everything we came to see. Enjoyed the stay. Full breakfast with choices to please each family member. Housekeeping came by daily to make sure we had everything we needed,e.g., towels, coffee/cups, etc.||

What a great little gallery of mainly folk art. We really loved this place. Really cool space with local art filling every brim. Some fun and funky pieces of jewelry and art in all mediums. Beautiful watercolors, some great mixed media, just great st
Another one added to my collection! ð¤ Here is my take
1. Plenty of selection. They have all the classic donuts and the size of them is on the larger end of the scale
2. The icing itself is sort of a hybrid of royal and something else. Almost a p
We had a wonderful stay at Oak Hall Bed and Breakfast. The house is beautiful and our room was perfect for our family of 5. We arrived super late but we were still greeted and showed around. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had everything
We are doing a cross country drive this summer, visiting national parks, landmarks and little known treasured places. We were thrilled to have found this restaurant. Itâs far from fancy, but in our humble opinion it rates as high as the Chart House
Melanie and I stayed at the Baer House for the second time in 7 years and Corey and Patricia were great hosts. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was a great start to our day. We will stay there in the future, Thanks
