Positive: It was clean a little toiletries were nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was cool. The pool was inside and clean. The staff was great and the food was pretty good, better than expected. Negative: No. It was great

We were given room 401 upon check in, but as soon as we opened the door, there was a strong horrible smell of pee. When we walked in, we noticed the room was not clean since the beds were not made. Went back downstairs and staff was polite and gave us room 201. That one was clean, except for the bathroom sink that had hair in it. The electric and usb plugs on the wall in between both beds did not work at all. The hall to the rooms had several bleach stains, making it look messy. AC makes a lot of noise but works. Hotel has potential, but needs a better cleaning crew.

La Quinta Inn & Suites in Texas City offers a comfortable and convenient stay for business. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and work desks. The complimentary breakfast was nice. The pool and fitness center are well maintained. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive. The location is great, with easy access to the freeway. Overall, my stay was comfortable.

Do not stay at this hotel if you book through a third party. They will charge your credit card for your room in addition to what you’ve paid and refuse to remove the charge. You will pay for your room twice! UPDATE I received a refund one day after writing this review and 8 days after my initial inquiry. I thank you for finally refunding me as it was the right thing to do. I normally appreciate the quality of stay at La Quinta and this hotel was clean and quiet for our quick night stay prior to our cruise. Your front desk staff were very nice but something got handled incorrectly during our stay and unfortunately I (the customer) was put in the middle of it when I feel it should have been handled between the booking site and hotel. It’s unfortunate about the billing circumstance that I had no knowledge about until I returned from my cruise. I have never written a bad review until now but feel this could have been handled much more efficiently without stress. Thank you

We got to hotel early would not let us check in early without additional charge. Ok we left came back at 6. Gave us a room. Coffee pot not cleaned. Only had a shower. No tub. Went back and asked for another room. Said they didn't have any more rooms but 1 other. Took it but it only had a shower and coffee pot not cleaned. Carpets had not been swept. 1 bar of tiny soap. Just not the same since Wyndam took over. Also had prepaid for room. Made us put additional 25.00 on card for "incidentals". Said would get back when checked out. Never heard of this before. Not a real happy camper tonight.

At check in the staff member was not very cordial when I asked about a few negative comments I had read. No biggie. The room was clean and bright, with a nice view of I-45 and construction materials on the ground . The room felt rather damp and had a musty odor....(even a bit musty in the halls as well..) an observation shared by several other guests, even on different floors...good thing we had air freshener...... that helped...temporarily. The bathroom was clean with a large, beautiful walk-in shower, but the floor was a bit slippery and there was only 1 very small soap dish in the corner...NO soap/shampoo dispensers... The coffee pot, fridge and MW were in sort of a closet, located behind the bathroom door when open, so not easy to find. We had NO ice bucket... The "full" breakfast was waffles, eggs, sausage links, cereal and bagels/muffins, along with coffee,milk and juice. I REALLY expect better from La Quinta and Wyndham.........

Positive: The room was clean, location was close to family, breakfast was OK. Negative: Room smelled musty/dank. Many other guests said the same thing. Shower had 1 soap dish and no dispensers.NO ice bucket.Fridge/MW/coffee pot hard to find behind open bathroom door..Breakfast OK but not great. Expect better from LQ

Positive: Nothing. When we first arrived, they put us in a room that smelled like pee. the odor was so strong, we smelled it as soon as we walked in. We received another room, which had no towels in there. We lost our money for the second night. Negative: Also, there were crumbs on the floor and the sheets were filthy. We originally booked 2 nights but didn't stay the second night due to not sleeping well the night before. This was a disgrace and I never want to step a foot in that hotel again. Negative: ""
