La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield IL - Hotel in Springfield - 1121 Lejune Dr, USA

I was in love with the place! I can hardly wait to book again. The decorations were amazing. The beds were soft. The rooms were clean. They felt very up-scale and high-end. The products in the bathroom were Dove, a brand that my family does use at home. My kids loved the pool. I will be returning.

Couldn't ask for a better location pizza ranch and Walmart and golden coral all withing walking distance. Not in the middle of town so it's easy to get to. Decent breakfast included makes easy start for the day. Check in and out was easy and quick. Spacious room. Clean. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Plenty in them and easy accessible. I will definitely stay here again in the future!

We had a good 1 night stay while traveling through. Loved that Walmart was right there. Rooms were clean, hot shower and plenty to choose from for the Complementary breakfast. Pool was in good working order. Owners had neat decorative piece throughout the hotel. Nice touch!

The rooms were big and clean, the beds were comfy, and the A/C worked well. The lady at the front desk was super helpful when we arrived, and she even gave us some tips on where to eat in town. It was also close to a big supermarket, which was convenient.

Unfortunately, right before we were about to go to bed, my boyfriend discovered two cockroaches on his nightstand-- then a few others in the bathroom, and another in the bathroom in the middle of the night. We left promptly in the morning, unnerved by the situation. I went to the front desk to check out and alert the hotel staff about the cockroaches, asking what their refund policy was. The front desk person said they could not offer any sort of compensation and did not apologize for the cockroaches, even after I talked them through the whole situation. I felt very dismissed and frustrated, since we paid a good amount of money for our stay and there was clearly a cockroach infestation in our room.

Full review on Tripadvisor! I travel over 150 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Check in went smoothly as i reserve in the Wyndham app. My room, a second floor king, was very clean, with a comfortable bed/ pillows and newer fixtures. Room access is via an interior door. The hallways and room smelled great. WiFi speed was 70.9 megs down, 20.22 up via Ookla. All of the normal amenities were in place, such as the microwave, small refrigerator and single serve coffee maker. The hotel has at least 2 luggage carts. My digital AC/heater worked well. The television had a fairly small selection of channels but a good picture. The breakfast area and lobby were very clean. The pool area was tidy as well. There's a small convenience area on the first floor. There is also a fitness center and business center available. Great staff and awesome rooms, I will certainly stay here if in the area in the future.

DO NOT STAAY HERE!!!!! We had been driving 10 hours with our two small children and needed a place to stay last minute. We read the reviews which were all really good. You’re highly rated so we TRUSTED we would be able to come in to a friendly staff and clean room. It was the exact opposite. The check in was quick and easy, and when we got to our room we were horrified. Everything was dirty. The sheets, the comforter, the couch, the bathroom, the floor… I mean, not a single thing was actually clean. When I went downstairs, I kindly let the gentleman at the front know we needed a new room bc our was dirty. His exact words “Then check out and we will refund you.” I was shocked. He was so rude and nasty, I told him we didn’t want to check out, that we had been driving a very long time with two small kids and just needed another room bc ours was so filthy. Again he said as he shrugged his shoulders “then check out” I was seriously angry at the point. So I asked for new bedding and he handed me one sheet. I said no, I need all new bedding… and he just stared at my with the sheets extended in his hand. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the only one there. At that point I turned around and came back to our filthy room. I’m including pictures of how dirty it is. This is totally unacceptable. We paid $154 for this room. I could have gone down the road to the motel 6, paid half the price for the same level of filth. I included the email I received after reaching out. Horrible business.

Upon check-in, the beds were not completely made - covers were disturbed, pillows all on 1 bed and displaced, hair on bedspread. We were given a new room. In the new room, the bedspreads had several stains on them and looked like they needed washing. The electrical receptacles were so tight you could not plug anything in, yet they were loose from the wall. There was a puddle of some kind of liquid under the plate in the microwave. Overall, it was not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but it was not at all what I was expecting for a hotel with an 8.8 rating and at this price point.
