La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Shawnee - Hotel in Shawnee - 5401 Enterprise Ct, USA

I had a great experience at the hotel. Big and clean rooms. Great little gym with good equipment. Service was top-notch. The breakfast server was helpful and friendly. Just wished that the hotels in the area would pull together and offer an airport shuttle service to Will Rogers Airport. I am sure there would be customers that would use a shuttle to and from the airport.

Positive: The staff was fantastic. From the amazing front desk ladies, to the breakfast attendent, to the housekeepers. Everyone was incredibly helpful and pleasent for our entire 3 night stay. Negative: The cleanliness could be better. The floors were still dirty when we put a towel on the floor to stand on after showering and it was brown on thr other side. As well as the pull out couch bed had obviously not been cleaned for a long time.

Good room, friendly front desk girls. BUT housekeeping DOES NOT come unless asked each day. They made the beds and brought towels the first day, second day they brought towels, but did not make the beds. There were candy wrappers in the hallway when we got there and still there 3 days later when we left, so it definitely had not been vacuumed. Breakfast was good the first day, second and third day the dining room was packed with 3 bus loads of kids. The kids that we came in contact with were very polite and respectful though. Just no way to get in for breakfast. Also, the hair dryer did not work, but the front desk girl was glad to replace it. I would have given a higher rating if not for housekeeping..

Every step of my family’s experience with this hotel was amazing. The reservation staff was so kind working with me during the booking of multiple rooms for a family funeral hotel stay. They treated every member of our family with kindness and compassion throughout our stay. The rooms were delightful and the breakfast was on point! Their thoughtfulness made an otherwise painful time that much lighter. When a member of our group accidentally left some clothes behind, they saved them so we could retrieve them weeks later. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you to the amazing staff!! May 11-13, 2024

Came here as we drove through and normally don’t stay at La Quinta, called for availability and lady said come on in they have plenty of rooms. We figured we’d try it. Upon arriving we were asked if we had a reservation we said no and the very uninviting front desk employee said, “of course, that’s my last shift.” My girlfriend asked a question twice and she didn’t answer so she asked again louder and more direct to get an answer. While checking in she walked away because someone walked through the front entrance that was blocked. Lady already walked through and was gone, by the time she went around she couldn’t say anything and we just had to wait. Was an odd check in. As mentioned the front was blocked and the signs that were up were not clear on where to go. If you aren’t familiar North and south mean nothing to you on the building. Hotel smelled of chemicals, my girlfriend even asked if they were painting. The front coolers and convenience item areas were empty. I asked if they have bottled water and they didn’t. I don’t drink tap water no way! At a Hilton or holiday inn you pay the same rate and get water in your room or at the desk and better service. This place was an odd visit for sure! I can understand construction but the help and staff weren’t helpful or friendly. The pool was also closed too.

Paid for my room online. Was planning on staying there with my kids so they could swim and sleep in the hotel for thier birthday. We invited a couple of thier cousins to come swim with them. Not a huge party. Just a couple of guests to swim and then leave. The lady at the front desk rudely told me that was not allowed. I was confused because I had never had any issues with this at any other hotel in the past. I was under the impression that as a guest I was allowed visitors. I considered cancelling but she then informed me that not only would I not get my money back, but instead would be charged an additional $125 cancellation fee. So I decided to keep the room and cancel the guest swimming. She then said that she would have to check and see if we could still keep the room, the room that we had already paid for. She called her manager and explained what was going on. Talking negatively about me directly in front of me. When she hung up she said that the manager said we could stay as long as nobody else joined us. And then stated "I can't even believe she is going to let you stay". When we were bringing in our luggage she then threatened to kick us out if she sees anyone other than me and my two kids in the pool. I can understand there being some policies that I was not aware of. However I found this interaction to be extremely rude, insulting and unprofessional. We stayed the night since it was already paid for. We didn't swim. We left as soon as morning came and will never be using this location again.

We were in the area for a family wedding and chose this hotel for the ease of access and price. The staff was very accommodating to our need for early check in by having all of our rooms ready by 1p.m. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Pool was enjoyed by the littles. Not being familiar with Shawnee we took a chance on this hotel and we were very glad we did. Thank you April, Maria and morning staff for making our stay enjoyable.

We had clean, comfy beds. They have a decent breakfast. Unfortunately, we won't stay here again because of how awful the service was. We had 3 people in our room and stayed 2 nights. They did not do the towel refresher like most hotels, so we came back after my daughter's softball games and still had all our dirty towels in a pile on the floor where we left them. We went to the front and asked for new towels and the front desk told us that we had to carry all the dirty towels downstairs first, and she could only replace each towel/washcloth with a clean one, but wouldn't give us any extras. We were already exhausted and dirty after being at the ball fields all day. Nevertheless, we went back to the room and took her 4 towels, 4 washcloths, 3 hand towels, and the floor towel for the shower, and she only handed us 2 towels and 2 washcloths. We asked for the 4 towels and washcloths to be replaced and at least a floor and hand towel, since I was working out in the morning and would need a towel for the morning and evening, and at first, she argued with us and wouldn't provide anything, but she finally got back up and got the 2 extra towels and 2 extra washcloths, but continued to refuse the floor towel and hand towel. She told us if we wanted anything else, we could "take it up with housekeeping in the morning." We had to be very careful getting out of the tub because the floor was very slippery and we had no floor towel or extra towels to lay on the floor, and the shower curtain didn't close all the way.||Our softball games were rained out late that first evening, and we got notice around 11:30 p.m. that our first game the next day wasn't until 2:30. Because our daughter had to be up later than normal due to the delays and subsequent cancellation of her games, and we would be able to let her sleep in some, we called the front desk and asked if we could please get an extra hour before checking out. She curtly replied "NO." I asked if there was a reason, and she said "there are too many people staying here and not enough staff." I can't help but think that extra hour wouldn't have hurt anyone. In the morning when I went to workout, half the weights in workout room were missing, and went from 5lb-30lb., which ended up being a little inconvenient. We stay in this area almost every weekend for softball tournaments, and if the service had been good, we would have stayed here all the time due to the cleanliness of the room, but the staff was ridiculously unreasonable and rude, so we won't be back.
