La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Savannah Southside - Hotel in Savannah - 8484 Abercorn St, USA

This was the worst hotel experience of my life. First, the woman at the front desk tried to not honor my reservation. She was incredibly unprofessional and would not help us until Priceline called her. Once we finally got the room it was disgusting. The smell of mildew and mold hit me like a wall. The carpet was wet the entire time we were there. I had to wear shoes to walk in the room. The bathroom fan didn’t work so there was mold and mildew on the walls. The mini fridge had a leak and was covered with a towel which had become moldy. The bed had a huge hole in it so I was pushed to the middle. The floor was gross in the bathroom and entryway. The furniture was torn up and stained. Then to top it off our key cards didn’t work for the second day. The same woman was at the front desk and unprompted, she said multiple times that she had done two days for us. She said the key got next to our cell phones and that’s why it stopped working. Mine had not been next to my phone at all. I then kept the key in my wallet until we were ready to leave. To test out her statement I rubbed the key all over my phone and it still worked. Why lie? She clearly didn’t say the cards up right and tried to make something up. It was so unprofessional. Then the breakfast, no protein at all. Not three star level. Breaded stuff and cereal is all you get. I have stayed at several La Quintas all over the country and this one was the worst by far. I went to check out and they just took my cards without saying anything or asking my room number. I will never stay at another La Quinta again.

The hotel's overall state was extremely unhygienic and in a state of disrepair. The initial room assigned to us was not only unclean but also had a malfunctioning toilet that leaked after each flush. Furthermore, the carpet and chair had several dirty spots. Additionally, I observed hair on the bed linen and shower wall. Consequently, we were relocated to an alternative room, which unfortunately, was also not satisfactorily clean. Upon inspection, we discovered hair and debris in various locations including the bed, floor, and shower. There was also a concerning hole in the shower ceiling. Furthermore, the carpet and chairs were blemished with numerous spots. These spots were also noticeable throughout the hallway carpet. In addition to all of that, the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Was in town for a convention. As expected, room was good, though it smelled like my duvet was lightly used. Breakfast was late the first day (weekend). Otherwise never heard anyone during our stay and didn't have any problems. Front desk was friendly and breakfast lady was very polite.

I have never stayed in a motel that was so dirty that I didn't feel safe taking a shower. The tub was so dirty there was a dirt ring around the entire tub. The carpets had not been vacuumed. The first room we were given stank so bad we could not stay in it. We were moved to a second room on the same floor. This room was a little better but was still not as clean as it should be. It didn't smell as bad as the first room we were given but it still could have used a better cleaning. The bathrooms in both rooms were horrible!! I will not recommend this motel to anyone!! I feel like I wasted my money. If it had not been so late when we arrived I would have demanded my money back and gone somewhere else.

Pros: Considering the price, this hotel provides decent lodging with fairly clean rooms ( I check everything including the beds upon check-in). Surprisingly, the bed is really comfortable but I suggest bringing an extra pillow with you, if possible. I really appreciate the friendliness of all the hotel workers that I have encountered. Since I don't eat the complimentary breakfast, I can't comment. Cons: The room's available outlets are either outdated or loose. After spending the last few months in the exact same room twice, I haven't been able to locate a reliable wall outlet for charging my electronics. The outlet near the door and the one that is attached to the table lamp is not working properly. The bed's side has no charging ports.

Nastiest hotel I have ever seen. The carpets had so many stains and some looked like blood, no lie. The room smelled like mold. The sheets did appear clean and I found no bed bugs. We got in late, I wouldn't let my kids take off their shoes, and make everyone sleep on top of the sheets. I booked another hotel and we left first thing in the morning. The clerk was polite and didn't give me any issues canceling the rest of our stay. I'll bet they are used to it.

If you are comfortable in a trap house then this is the place for you. Water was cold, tv didn’t work, stained carpet, bodily fluids all over the bathroom, bugs in the mattress, holes in the walls. We had to clean the bathroom ourselves just to take a shower. Customer service was awful! Everyone spoke broken English which is fine but they were never at the front desk and when they were they were useless. Our check in time was at 3pm and it took the 45 minutes to get us a room. Checked out early didn’t even care about a refund. Stay away from this STD factory !

The beds are super comfortable and the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We stayed overnight because I had to have surgery the next morning, the staff asked my husband to call them to let them know ow how I did with my surgery. I'm home recovering now.
