La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salina - Hotel in Salina - 201 E Diamond Dr, USA

Easy enough check in, but hotel room was so so. There was no secondary lock on the door (deadbolt only), odd smell in the hallway, and if you’re interested in swimming the pool was green and locked off. Front desk lady refused to print my receipt upon leaving and said it would be emailed, never received the email. Good enough for a nights stay but there’s better options out there

When we arrived, the rooms were quite small but it was the least of concerns. We checked out the pool, it looked a little old. It was fine though. The problem was when I took a shower after swimming. When I was showering, I thought nothing much would happen, but when I get out the shower, the entire bathroom floor was very wet. When I mopped the water, I had found out the water was leaking into the hallway. The shower water was literally flooding into the hallway. Good to say I might not come back.

I know its cheap..they accept dogs, but this place sucks. Phone is never answered, TV'S work 50 %, water barely comes out of faucet, floors are dirty, and if you have dogs, there are like 8 stray cats in the parking lot. The fridges are old and not cold. They try with breakfast but fail here to.3 times out of coffee and filtered water. Wyndham should be embarrassed. If you can, drive to Manhattan with newer, updated hotels and much safer. Internet is horrible. Cant you just do better? Hospitality is not hard. Avoid this soon to be closed chain

For $139 a night I expected far better the room looks a Craigslist handy man did a repair in the bathroom. The paint is 3 different colors. There is no vent for the shower, would not be surprised if mold was forming somewhere. The breakfast was mediocre at best the biscuits were rock hard and instead of the kitchen worker checking and pulling the hard ones she just added more right on top. The hallways are dark and the ceiling tiles show evidence of a water leak at some point. I got a recommendation from a local to stay here and when I called and asked if they do a military rate was told yes but then in person was told no. One of the 2 room keys I was given didn’t work, the door to the room was hard to open. I had to put my body weight into it to open it. An older person might not be able to. The elevator was super dirty, I did appreciate the hand sanitizer station if it had any in it.

We stopped at this LaQuinta on our long road trip and it was the perfect place for our night. We needed a suite and they had one that was reasonably priced. It was nice, clean, and quiet. We all got a great rest before continuing on our journey.

Started a family vacation road trip. This was our first hotel stay. My son was so excited to swim and the pool was so gross I wouldn’t let him in there. Toilet had hair on it and the floors were dirty. Would recommend staying some place else.

This was the worse hotel I have stayed in: 1. There were bed bugs in both beds. (I have reported this to the county health department). 2. Mold around the shower drain. 3. Repair work around the shower drain was shoddy. 4. There were cigarette butts in the closet. (This is supposed to be a non-smoking room). 5. The floor was dirty. 6. We had to request sheets for tv stations and local Resturant’s. 7. The molding around the floor and bathroom was broken …. It was just shabby. 8. I was charged the usual $50 for extra purchases when we arrived. (That is expected in any hotel). When I noted the bed bugs and other issues to the front desk (female at 9:30 May 3) she stated “Well you didn’t book through us so there is nothing I can do.” I stated “ we stayed in your companies hotel and you have my credit card on file so you can refund the cost of our room on that card.” She stated “there is nothing I can do, you booked through a 3rd source. You should have called us.” I explained “ I tried calling the hotel directly but was always sent to a reservation desk.” She stated “well, you should have called www. Laqunitahotels.com to reserve directly with us.” I asked “how many visitors to this hotel know that is the way to make a reservation?” She stated “ there is nothing I can do” and turned to speak with another staff person completely dismissing me. 9 The desk person nor any other person even offered an apology for the dirty/poor room. ||I will never stay in another La Quinta hotel and encourage friends and fellow professionals to stay away from you companies hotels

La Quinta is a great choice when traveling with a cat. Many places advertise being pet-friendly when they really mean dog-friendly. I have a low maintenance cat and I appreciated my stay here. Clean, hard surface floor with no evidence of previous feline or canine guests. Nice choice of washable linens on the bed. Friendly staff. I'll be back, with or without my cat.
