Came here for a weekend just after New Years. It was first time and we were a little weary based on some of the negative comments. Our experience was amazing. The manager Kevin was delightful and went out of his way to accommodate some special requests. He also sent us to the most amazing restaurant for dinner. We will definitely return just for his service.||||Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The kids loved the heated pool and hottub. Breakfast had great selection and the price was right.||

No frills but exactly what I was looking for. Clean, comfortable, affordable, and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. Manager gave me coupons for restaurant next door which was very good. Room was tidy. Bed was comfortable. Will definitely come back when coming up to Plattsburgh for work.

Just finished a 2 night stay here. My only two real complaints are that the elevator shakes dramatically when stepping on and off (there was was also what looked like dried yogurt smeared over a few of the buttons from Friday night to Sunday morning), and the water in our room didn't get hot at all, just lukewarm. Otherwise, our room was clean and the heat worked very well. We did try to use the AC feature, but it wasn't functioning correctly and only made a loud grinding noise but the fan worked to cool us down all the same. The staff we interacted with were all very pleasant, especially the housekeeping staff on Saturday morning. She checked on us and made sure we had towels and was sweet and friendly. We didn't partake in breakfast but it smelled amazing. One last point is we are pretty sure our room was haunted... my boyfriend and I felt as if someone was actually touching us when we were alone, I woke up several times to what felt like the bed shaking on the first night, and on my last night, I watched a towel slide from the back of the counter all the way to the edge and then plop down on the floor over the course of a couple of minutes. Honestly I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but I was wide awake with the TV and a light on. Quite spooky! Overall, this is a good value hotel and we'd stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times, on New Years Eve and it has always been pleasant. If you are wanting to use the pool just realize that the pool area is taken over by kids of all ages and their parents who don't have any control over them. You will need to use the pool late at night or very early in the morning. Go to breakfast very early, there is not much space to choose your breakfast or make toast or sit. But is it a typical hotel breakfast just smalls space and very crowded if hotel is full.

I was kind of surprised by some of the negativity on here in regard to this hotel as my stays here is everything I need. Rooms are always clean. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast is better than average and for the price you are definitely not going to find a better spot. Sure, if you want to spend 50 (or even much more) additional per night than you can find a couple better properties, but this place gives you the best bang for your buck.

We came up to Plattsburgh in late fall for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and catch some of the fall foliage. We had a delightful stay here. We were greeted by the manager upon arrival and he was very friendly and welcoming. He found out it was our anniversary and gave us a free upgrade to an executive King Suite on the top floor. Our room was huge! We had a great view of Plattsburgh and the room was exceptionally clean. The manager called up to our room to check on us about an hour after check in and that felt like a very nice touch that we hadn't experienced in hotels lately. All of the staff were delightful, in fact. The manager gave us the perfect dinner recommendation to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Anthony's Bistro which was just a short walk from the hotel. Food there was phenomenal. We were so thankful for how lovely we were treated during our stay and will definitely return when in Plattsburgh for that personal touch.

Very Budget friendly, provided entertainment for the kids (nice sized pool) and mom (nice sized hot tub). Plus the included Hot breakfast was a bonus to have and it was nice to include more than just juice and cold cereal. Beds were comfortable, staff was pleasant and friendly while accommodating our requests. We will definitely seek them out on our next visit!

I travel for business a couple times a month and the things that are important to me are: clean, comfortable rooms, fitness center, laundry, fast internet, and breakfast. This hotel checks all my boxes. The manager always takes good care of me and offers corporate rates for my travels when booking direct. I used to use booking.com and expedia but now I just work directly with him. I always get a quiet room up on the 4th floor where the guest laundry is. Rooms are always well kept. Breakfast is definitely above average and for the price you cannot beat it. Thanks La Quinta Plattsburgh.
