Trash cans for room. were very small. No general larger cans on floor to put pizza box es or overflow. Breakfast area nice..bacon would be nice. Other than those few things enjoyed my stay

Room was stark, no lamps on night stands, only overhead light that felt like 6 inches from the mid day sun. Bed cover had unidentified stains and felt like a slab of concrete. Room was dirty, hair in tub, sink, wad of hair stuck to bathroom floor. Hair hanging from clean towel rack. Floor drain in bathroom was nasty, looked as though it had been kicked in. Coffee was brown water, no taste whatsoever and food was like the coffee. 11pm Saturday night, a herd of water buffalo moved into the room above me, there was running, jumping and lots of stomping. So there’s that. Would not recommend to my worst enemy if I had one or anyone else. Best of luck if you stay, don’t plan on getting any rest.

Bed was good & comfortable. Hotel had smelly hallways and bedrooms. Hallway rugs very worn and with bleach spots. Elevator button nearly fell out. Toilet leaked and bathroom vent didn't work - no one to repair so we were given towels to soak up the leak. Another guest had large wall mirror fall - no injuries, but I hope they were not charged. Breakfast was decent. Service members were friendly.

If zero stars was an option that’s what I would pick. Absolutely worst hotel stay in my life. We had a reservation for Saturday night as we were traveling and knew it would be late before we got there. We arrived at 3am and planned to leave by 8:30 so only a couple hours. I go to check in and the guy at the counter was like “I don’t have any reservations”. I showed him my email and his response was “you were marked as a no show and he didn’t have any rooms available”. I told him that he did and it was my room that I paid for. For 10 minutes or so he refused to give me a room and saying I would have to call Wyndham and talk to them. After going back and forth for a while he finally gives me a room. Thought you didn’t have any? We get in the elevator, which let me tell you is the sketchiest elevator I have ever been in. We were on second floor room 206 and the hallways were disgusting. Stained floors, smelled, used sheets thrown on the floor. We get in our room and it smells stale. I turned on the AC unit which sounded like it had a mouse in it running around. The pillow cases were stained, the shower was dirty and when you layed in the bed it felt like you were laying on wet sheets and pillows. If we were exhausted we would have left. Upon waking up and leaving the room we noticed the door trim when we opened the room was falling off. The shower was so gross we opted to stay dirty. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had, La Quintas used to be decent places to sleep. I guess not anymore. I will still be calling Wyndham about my experience.

The hotel is nice but some upgrades need to be done. The carpet needs to be cleaned or replace thru out the building. The shower curtains in the rooms need to be replaced the are mildew and stinks. Need to put usb cable lamps in the room. Overall it was a ok good night rest but I will never stay here again. People let the kids run up and down the hallway all night but I went to sleep. Elevator need to be update and service for better time going up and down to floors or add another elevator all together!!! The hallway stinks and so do the rooms and the bathroom but I Lysol it down and that help.

Not the best hotel, but also not the worst. It's about average. The elevator is S L O W, small shampoo bottles, stains on all the corridor carpets on at least floor 3 and 4. Upon exiting the elevator on our floor, the stench of weed could be smelled which isn't the hotel's fault but ignorant guests. Overall it was better than a motor lodge, but it would have to be much cheaper for me to re-book a room here. I've learned one thing staying at these hotels is that just because it says "By Wyndham" doesn't make it great. More times than not, it usually means trash. This LQ McKinney is just a bit above that. What saves this place is the beds though. So plush.

I don’t know if this was a one off or a common occurrence, but my room flooded while staying here. I ran out to the lobby and found multiple other guests whose rooms were also flooded. Front desk moved us to a new room, however there was so much dang moisture in the hotel our sofa and bed linens felt damp. They switched it out, and a few hours later they felt damp again. This hotel has some serious water issues and need to get this addressed asap. I’m assuming this is why other comments have mentioned a “musky smell.” My guess is water damage and mold in the walls. No reason that many rooms should flood in one night, and especially those on 2nd and 3rd floors. However staff was very friendly and helpful. Super sweet people.

This past week was my third stay at this location. While the first stay in 2021 was good, the last two visits in 2023 and last week in 2024 have continued to decline. The hotel was in a greater state of disrepair this time and my room was not as clean. However, the last straw was the lack of good customer service when my dog got sick in my hotel room. (The pet fee is $25/night.) I called down to the front desk and said that my dog had gotten sick and I wanted to know if I could come down and get some paper towels and trash bags. The man said I could. I immediately went downstairs from the 2nd floor and found the man still playing on his computer. He then began to try to locate said items. What he came up with were incredibly thin garbage bags that were barely larger than the poop pick up bags I already had (I was standing there with a 90 lb German Shepherd) and he said I could have the napkins from the breakfast buffet. While I didn't expect anyone to clean up after me, I was very put off by the lack of concern for a guest problem and more concerned that they couldn't easily come up with normal cleaning supplies. They did not offer any type of sanitizer either, and I certainly wasn't going to bother asking given the way my request for paper towels was handled. But, since the entire place looked like it was in a state of disrepair and not the cleanest, I suppose that should not have been a surprise. The young lady who checked me out of the hotel at the end of my stay was very pleasant and helpful. The young man working the evening shift, not so much.
