La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lynchburg at Liberty Univ. - Hotel in Lynchburg - 3320 Candlers Mountain Rd, USA

Well just want to say Cynthia the desk clerk could not have been nicer. She was friendly & was able to help us and answer all our questions. The room was nice and well stocked. The bed in our opinion was ok. We like a more firm bed & this bed was a little soft for old backs. A little painting in the rooms/ bathrooms wouldn't hurt. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. All the usual food but could have been a little hotter, could have been our breakfast timing. There is a little mall directly across the street that was nice, & there is easy access to major highways. Overall rating 4/5

The pillows were just right there are 3 to choose from. So you have a choice to sleep comfortably clean room. Staff were friendly. Make your own breakfast was enjoyable, I witnessed guest with children being entertained especially during the preparation of their meal.the pool area clean enjoyable.

In every way, this hotel surpassed our expectations from comfort, cleanliness, breakfast, exceptionally friendly staff, location, and value! We were always met with a smile from the staff, whether it was at the front desk or from the cleaning team in the halls. We will go back and stay in this excellent hotel anytime we’re in the area!

This was one of the worst stays we have ever had. First the bathroom door in our room had been kicked in and was broken. The bathroom door was cracked so much that it wouldn't shut and the handle wasn't held in place. Next we noticed the bed had dirt on the comforter, there was hair in the drawers and grease all over the carpet by the window. There were no other rooms so I just asked that it be cleaned. They changed the bed but didn't clean the door or the carpet. The next day we woke up to ants climbing the walls. Again I went and complained this time showing pictures of all the damage/ dirty conditions. I was told they would comp us Saturday night due to everything and they would have it cleaned again and the ants taken care of. When we returned the carpet and the drawers had been cleaned, someone tried to fix what was left of the door and the ants were gone. We went to check out and I found when I received the bill that we had not had a night comped but had$50 taken off the bill which was not what we discussed. I called wyndham and filed a customer service claim. I was told I would get an email to attach all my pics, however I never heard from them again. I try to call and the automated system says someone will call me and won't pass my number through. 2 weeks later and nothing. Filthy room and horrible customer service. Wyndham definitely lost my business.

Very friendly people. Great service. The best free breakfast I have seen in a long time! 2 flavors of waffle batter AND a pancake maker! Scrambled Eggs, fried potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, boiled ages, and all the other regular breakfast stuff. The rooms were bright and clean. I would recommend this hotel.

Front desk associate was the best, her presence made everything at ease. We didn't get to use any of the amenities. The room was clean, we'll definitely be returning. This hotel felt more like home then any of the others

La Quinta Liberty is in a great location. In the heart of the active part of Richmond, easy access to Wards, 501, 29, and 460. Rooms were quiet (when AC works well). Feels like an upper mid market hotel (Holiday Inn/ Courtyard feel) when you walk in. Rooms are small, but aged. Beds are “springy,” and plush enough, but certainly not a mattress I would look up to own. First room was laden with webs and spiders and an AC that whistled. Swapped out rooms, and the next room was cleaner. Bathroom is split (sink outside) which is a plus IMO. Nowhere to hang towels (holes in door where hangers should be). Breakfast was serviceable (standard hotel eggs, undercooked potatoes, grey sausage and mix of cereals. Had a waffle iron, but no batter. Red apples and oranges for fruit). Front desk staff was kind, but maintenance was not reachable. Room felt “damp”, such that the provided tissues were wet, which makes sense why others saw/smelled mold. Not the worst, but the best.

Hotel knew this weekend would be full of guest bc of Tournaments in the city. They were not prepared. Rooms were not properly cleaned. Bathrooms not fresh, several families had to be moved to another room or request for rooms to be re•cleaned. Even some families had to ask for a refund to find another place to take their kids. Shout out to Katrina for being professional and polite with assisting me during the weekend. I appreciate your kindness. Few incidents with workers not being polite and rude to us. Bathrooms needs to be updated, doors needs to be cleaned an hallways need to be vacuum. Will not stay again !
