La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lackawanna - Hotel in Lackawanna - 2500 Hamburg Turnpike, USA

Pleasant and helpful desk staff and good breakfast. We got in late, but check-in was still smooth and quick and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The exterior of the hotel is nice, but inside is old and worn out. - Elevator was broken - Room card needed to be inserted backwards to work (do opposite of the directions/arrows on the card) - Door security latch was broken - There was hair in the sink, on the towels under the sink, on the beds, and on the pillows. - Sheets had questionable stains We got in quite late, and it was apparently a sports game weekend, so we couldn't get a new room. The price was way too much for the quality. I would have expected this level of cleanliness out of an old Red Roof or Super 8 at $99.99/night, not the $250/night we were charged. I would not stay here again.

1. NO HOT WATER. The water was just little warmer than cold water. We asked two hotel employee to check the water temperature and they agreed it was cold. However, no action was taken by them to make the water warmer. We had to take shower with basically cold water. 2. Room smells really bad. There was mold on the air conditioner. We had to ask a hotel employee to wipe it clean who didn't think those were mold. 3. There were hairs from former guests on the bed sheet. This is by far the worst experience we have with a hotel regardless of price. We requested a refund or discount but were told it wasn't possible because we booked through Priceline. I wouldn't go to this hotel again even thought the room was free.

I would not recommend this hotel based on customer service alone. There was an extreme plumbing issue the night we stayed. No one on the short end of the hallways slept, at all. They offered no compensation because that is “theft from the company”. I’m sorry but when I was the General Manager of a hotel it was called Customer Service. Boomer mentality I guess? As a Diamond member of Wyndham I expected anything over nothing. ANYTHING. Oh, also the elevator does not work, imagine needed an assistive device and not being able to get to your room because the elevator does not work. Try harder La Quinta, you’re fixin to lose your flag! ;)

Great location. This location is not to far from the major highway. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. However, the girl who checked us in was not friendly at all. Barely spoke at all. That’s why I gave 4 stars. Clean!

Attendant at check in was super nice. Be prepared they hold $100 on your card till check out well above the norm. The lobby is decent and would not make you think twice of staying there. We got to our rooms yes there was 3 rooms booked. All three rooms had hair in the shower ( Nasty ) and dirty sheets one of my colleagues asked to have hos sheets changed because of body stained sheets and was greeted with a nasty look by house keeping that said the owners of the hotel need to buy new linens and towels. They spoke in Spanish not knowing our entire crew speaks fluent Spanish lol. I would love to say for the price it was decent but hair in the shower of all 3 rooms and stained sheets on most beds is a Hotel 101 no no. We travel extensively and usually do not leave reviews but felt the independent owners of this LA Quinta should know they do not meet the corporate standards. Stay at your own risk oh and the keys didn't work 1/2 the time and one of the bathroom locks was broken.

We booked 1 big room for 5 persons, but we got not enough bed, (they said the room we booked was damaged but I didn't buy it) they gave an another room with additional bed as an excuse but the extra bed was uncomfortable. Besides these, the room was not well cleaned. Under the sofa, we found a cookie, the caffee machine was filled up with a used filter. The biggest issue was the wc, we could not lock the door. As proof, I added some photos and videos. There are definitely better hotels in the area where you can rest well and enjoy. I will highly unrecommend this hotel, do not come here!

I booked this room through Expedia's website the night before I stayed and got not only a super deal on a room, I got a beautiful room, with excellent staff. The location was fantastic for my needs, as well and it was a much quieter experience than the one I stayed in, in Niagra Falls. I felt that this location was much safer as the parking lot was well-lit at night. There is also a small coffee shop right within walking distance from the hotel for those who want almost any kind of coffee to choose from. The hotel as well has free breakfast and Wi-Fi and a much nicer pool! The room's AC worked much better and had vanity lighting and instead of the shower curtain, this one actually had an upgraded shower with sliding shower doors! It was beautiful! And it had Plenty of Towels!!!!!! Thank you all for making my stay, absolutely wonderful! Next time I come up, I will be staying there. 😊❤️

Got there check in took forever, the guy kept answering the phone before even checking me in. Told him I had two rooms then only checked me in for one, yet again had to tell him it was two but answering the phone was more important then helping the customer infront of him. Finally get the keys and go to my room the bedding is disgusting with stains and hair, I request new bedding at like 3:30pm. I wait, wait and wait finally almost 7pm comes around after I had already asked again after the initial. The guy says well I came up and you weren’t there after I told him I’d be in the room down the hall with my husband and FIL so to just put the new stuff in there. The shower was nasty also had hair and bottom of it was gross, overall dirty hotel. We have loved staying in La Quinta’s but they have gotten extremely horrible and gross. Would not recommend staying here.
