La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham La Verkin-Gateway to Zion - Hotel in La Verkin - 101 E 500 N, USA

In our two weeklong visit to the five southern Utah National Parks, this was by far the best place we stayed...and close to Zion NP. We stayed on an upper floor (thanks to elevator), so had a great mountain view. The room was large, clean and comfortable with king bed, great shower and everything worked! The staff here was exceptional, from the front desk team to the breakfast kitchen team to the housecleaners. Shout out to ALL, but especially to Ashley at the front desk who made us feel so welcomed when we first arrived. I'm the old bearded guy who reminded you of your uncle, Ashley!||Breakfast was incredible with pretty much everything anyone might want...including freshly made decaf for me. Plus the breakfast dining area was in the lobby and large with plenty of seating. There's an outdoor pool, though we didn't use it, free Wi-fi, and in-room safe, fridge and microwave. We loved it here and would gladly return if in the area.

Positive: The breakfast girls were wonderful, always said "Good Morning" to everyone and were very kind. Kudos to the breakfast team! Negative: The hotel is newer, however, the housekeeping staff need to assure that all rooms are clean and ready (note repairs needed, light bulb replacement, etc. for the maintenance team). I know they work hard and it was a good week stay.

I just had my wedding, and about 60 to 70% of my guests stayed here. They took great care when we did reservations. We got rooms next to each other so that family could be closer together. We had such a great time having family there, and had a good time with their stay. We were even able to talk to them about checking in a little earliest so that they could make it to my rehearsal on time. Overall, this was one of the best experiences that my guess had other than my wedding. With all of the other major events going on like the eclipse, multiple competitions and marathons coming in and going, the staff was just so wonderful. Thank you for taking such good care of my family and Guests. I always recommend this place for my out-of-town family and guests.

We visit Zion often and have stayed in Springdale, Virgin, Hurricane, all over! Drove past this place many times it looks nice decided to give it a try this visit. Friendly, quick check in. The room was large and clean. Ask for a mountain view room. Had top floor it was great. Free parking. Pool looked great. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping was spot on. There's a great drive through coffee place next door, opens at 6. Close to gas, groceries, restaurants which are cheaper than Springdale. Easy 30 minutes to the Zion Visitors' Center. I think we found our new spot!

There was a girl that worked at the front desk, who was usually in a bad mood. She would say I'm sorry, but always had a reason she seemed on edge, like I just took care of a large group or I worked late last night and early the next morning. We were told that we could possibly have an early check-in, and when we tried, she said there were no rooms available. So we left and came back and there was a delay in getting our rooms for my dad and I. This was by about 4, which was past check-in. Just seemed like everyone was not on the same page. If u get the two double bed rooms, just keep in mind the bed is really tight for two adults. Why they don't have queens in the rooms I don't get. Beds are comfortable. they just need bigger beds. The location was nice. Breakfast was nice, and have a nice sitting area. Was also told the outdoor pool was heated, and it didn't seem to be that heated. They had coffee, tea, and water with oranges 24/7, which was nice.

The location is great. It is close enough to everything. The rooms are clean. The service is what is expected. There is no over and beyond. The room had the bare minimum furniture which leaves it feeling a bit like an open box. There were things that were broken...small things like the toilet paper dispenser. The shower had a glass door that only opened on one end. You had to step into the shower to turn it on and try not to get soaked. The water starts out ice cold. The breakfast bar is locked up at night so I had to go to the front desk to get a spoon. The breakfast bar catered to a traditional breakfast eater. So, no simple adjustments like adding in soy and almond milk. The fruit looked super unhealthy. Overall, if you're value shopping and want to get close to the parks without paying park rates....definitely.

Great hotel and a great location. The view outside is amazing! All rooms have a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. It didn't seem as if it had been cleaned properly. On the bright side, the shower had proper soap and shampoo, which is rare in these sorts of hotels. There's also breakfast and a 24hr coffee station. Overall, I highly recommend it.

This hotel is about a 20 minute drive to Zion National Park. It's dog friendly. They offer a continental breakfast. Lobby area has a nice seating area to relax. It was extremely quiet. Our room was next to the elevator and pool area and we didn't hear any noise at all. One side of the hotel has a great view of some mountains.
