La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Stafford Sugarland - Hotel in Stafford - 12727 Southwest Fwy, USA

I have stayed here multiple times through the years. No issues with reservations through the app. No issues checking in. The rooms were clean. The room didn't have a musty smell. It's unfortunate that the new remodeling has flaws, but the much needed update looks good overall. The a/c unit was very cold, but condensation/water leaked on the floor making a puddle. I just laid a towel down under it. Seems the same may have happened above by the looks of the ceiling above the a/c unit. The bed was comfortable. It was a quiet overnight stay.

I wish I had known the hotel was being renovated. Windows and walls were covered in plastic, including one of the areas where the ice machine was. The elevators got hot even in the morning. I saw cleaning staff throughout the day, but a used bandaid was in the elevator for hours. For what it was, the room was smaller than I expected, paint was peeling, the tub was extremely slippery. The counter people were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good. The pool was fun but the water was cloudy and greenish so I'm not sure how often it's cleaned. I found out the curtains keep a LOT of heat entering through the window, which was nice. A sign on the wall says you can't take food into the rooms, which is an unnecessary rule. Maybe some people don't clean up after themselves, but it's not possible to put a fridge in the room and then tell me I can't eat there!

We were here for a stay of 2 nights! We were warmly welcomed, stay was so comfortable, so cozy, quite and safe place. The place was neat and clean as well. Thank you La Quinta!. My kids and myself, we enjoyed our stay . Everything like food and a quick shopping was very near by to this hotel which was also so helpful!

Got there at 3:00 am needing a place to sleep. Only renting a room for 8 hours. The hotel has construction going on. You think they might give you a discount! Nope full price $87! Doing their very best to take hospitality and customer service out of the hotel business. I rent 200 rooms a year for work. Will not be using their establishment or any LA Quinta hotels anymore. Hire better people and give them the ability to give a discount. Maybe it won't cost you another $15,000!

I will start off with a disclaimer that they were under remodel at the time of my stay 07/2024 hopefully things get better. The cleanliness was subpar it seemed possibly due to the remodel. When you walk in the hallway you’re met with an immediate smell of weed and cigarettes which is odd due to the no smoking policy. The room was ok the AC did in fact work great. The curtain does not block any light and can be seen through easily from outside at night so not much privacy. There is no alarm clock if that matters to you. There is a mini fridge which is nice. The USB charging plugs did not seem to work in my room. The walls are also really thin you can hear your neighbors rather too well. Overall this is a transparent objective review of my stay. It was decent but definitely not what I’ve known laquintas to be.

Reading the reviews before I visited I expected there to be grab n go breakfast but it was in fact a full breakfast. Be careful with the eggs and sausage because it was left out much of day and then put back out next day for ppl to finish off. Waffles and everything else seemed fine. Rooms were decent, bathroom mirror/sink phenomenal. Tub outdated but nothing wrong with it. Beds comfortable, room was clean , paint job not so great. And the TV service absolutely terrible. TV lagged and cut out so often you couldn't watch a movie or show without getting frustrated.

Let this be your last choice, really. Roaches, Crack ceilings, poor ventilation, spotty internet service, first night no TV service, and the top complaint was hair on the bed sheets, covers, pillows. I ordered 2 rooms, both were identical in hair covered bedding. This was a horrible experience. La Quinta corporate would be horrified to attached their name to such a rat trap. I have pictures of everything, no need to over hype the conditions. When taking a shower because there no fans for ventilation the floors are extremely slippery. There absolutely no bathroom hand rails, this is a law suit in the making. The food is trash, please do not eat. You will regret while traveling. I hate to be so harsh but how this establishment passed city code is a mystery..... FYI, "La Quint get it together "!!!!
