La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Guthrie - Hotel in Guthrie - 406 Heather Rd, USA

I arrived to an empty parking lot at the hotel. When I entered the modern quirky lobby I saw in photos on line was overpacked with chairs that had seen better days. Tammy at the front desk was lovely! I was concerned because it felt like I was the only person there, and there is usually a reason for that. ||When I entered my room on the third floor 316, there was a mild odor. The mattresses were nice. I went to turn the air conditioner up, but I could not get the led on the unit to come on. And then I started taking a closer look. And everywhere I turned there were issues. I started taking pictures and could not believe how many there were for one room. It was so dirty. Like I have never seen in a hotel room. Bugs, spider, dust everywhere, the floor had not been vacuumed, curtain moldy, dirty towels, hairs on them, stained on sheets and pillowcases, something dripped and smeared by the door eye whole??? Mold in the tub grout, wall and doors in need of wiping. I could go on…Things were very old and the room needs to be clean with an appropriate level of detail for a hotel. ||It’s the only the 2nd time I ever left a hotel and went somewhere else. Tammy at the front desk asked for photos so I sent them to her. Her manager showed up. I was there for a while, and then left. At no time did he apologize.

When I realized that their location was not as far along on our travel route as I thought I needed to cancel. Unfortunately, I was beyond the cancellation timeline. Despite this, when I called and explained our situation, Mercedes (and her manager HP) were willing to work with me to get my reservation cancelled despite it being against the standard policy. ||This kindness on their part saved me and my family from having twice the travel time on the second half of our travel route!

Our room smells like dirty feet. Went to put some bottled water in the refrigerator and someone else’s leftover pizza is in there! If the refrigerator wasn’t cleaned, what else wasn’t?? My husband won’t turn the lights out, afraid there may be bed bugs. The bed sheets are dirty. I’m assuming our room was not cleaned.

Nice place to stay. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Be aware you have to ask for a blow dryer at the desk…none in the rooms. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

I have stayed at several locations and I have to say this was by far the worst.. when I arrived to check in being that I was 1hr early I was told I have to return at 3 pm to check in... at any other location they have never had an issue checking me in early.. once I got checked in the room cleaning quality was poor.. trash can had baby dirty diapers. Then the shower had people hair and the sink did not drain properly.. then twice during my stay my room keys had been deactivate and had to ask them to activate again making me waist time going to front desk. The morning breakfast was a joke. Scramble eggs seem to be rubber eggs sausage had aweful taste. The money I paid I could have stayed somewhere else and had better experience. I have another trip coming up to oklahoma to same location and for sure this hotel will not be an option. I for sure will not recommend this location to anyone.

The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy, the pillows were even worse. Well before 9am they stopped replenishing the breakfast items, the little that was left of the scrambled eggs looked positively disgusting and dried up, the other hot food containers were empty, so I left without breakfast which is suppose to come with the price of the room...the coffee carafe was also completely empty. I asked the front desk gal if there was coffee made to refill the container, she said she'd have to make some, 20 minutes later it was still empty so she never did. The front desk gal was rude when checking out. I have a feeling that this hotel is very understaffed, and that the front desk gal has too many duties and is overwhelmed so I'll give her a bit of a pass, but not on the rudeness, no excuse for that. The was the 2nd time I've stayed at this La Quinta, the first time was fine, this time was not, won't be back.

This was our third stay at this La Quinta. They have done a good job keeping up with the day to day maintenance. The room was clean. Breakfast was the typical La Quinta breakfast. Can't miss with a good waffle and some sausage! We will stay here again if we are in the area.

Nice and clean and private. Away from the interstate far enough, to not hear traffic noise. Several restaurants very close. Open area to see a nice sunset
