La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Smith - Featured Reviews (736)
This was one of the worst experiences staying in a La Quinta. Traveling with a small dog, thought it would be a decent clean place. The check in clerk was more interested about talking with a friend about her dog than checking us in. When we tried to park we had to go around back, to security entrance. A truck was parked with lid up BLASTING music, People sitting around in deck chairs and when I approached the security door, they said "you don't need a key it's unlocked" we kept seeing people going in and out using the laundry room. Lucky us, our room was right above the truck, all we could hear was the pounding of the music. When we asked the desk clerk to move, she said she had no available rooms and would not move us. We complained about the noise and she said this is a public place and people have to right to let loose and party if they want til 10pm. We informed her, No this is a private property owned by Wyndham and that you have the right to ask them to stop if it affects customers. She said well they were paying customers too! Other people came down and also complained about the noise. We finally demanded our 100% cancellation and moved to a Hampton Inn, which was 10 TIMES BETTER. The room was dirty, the bathroom light didn't work, couldn't get the fridge to work, waffle machine for breakfast was broken and the clerk didn't even know. It was awful!! To have a clerk side with those people we assumed she was letting them use the facilities for free, pool, laundry etc. Funny thing, for" paying customers", they left and were not back that evening!!! DON'T EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL
Non-smoking room smelled of smoke. The room was very musty. The bathroom mirror was clipped on the edge. The HD TV was from the 1990s. It had old furniture. I hate I wasted my money on one night. I checked early and found a better hotel for the rest of my stay. I would recommend no one stay here unless you don't care about stranger smells and bad breakfast.||
My husband and I came to get away for a couple of nights and ended up staying all week . It was very comfortable I wasn't given a hard time checking in and breakfast was ok except the waffle maker was marked our of order until Friday and we assumed that would happen and of course we was right, but other than that it was nice the bathroom had full size shampoo and conditioner and body wash and it was dove brand, and also there was the cutest box of mini dove bar of soap on the counter.
The night desk person was one of the rudest people I have ever met! The toilet wouldn't flush so when I want to tell her she handed me a plunger and said there was no maintenance person at night. She humiliated me terribly as she told me it must be user error. We are disabled and have issues with our bowels. I wasn't aware the toilet was only able to handle urine! Arkansas is the halfway point to my niece's house in Nashville. WE WILL NOT BE STAYING THERE on our next trip, and I highly advise against anyone else staying there either if they want to be treated with respect.
The gentleman at the morning desk was very kind and helpful. If I had been traveling for work I'd have been late because the clock was an hour slow which caused us to miss breakfast. The morning desk person was kind enough to offer me an apple which I took back to my husband in the room.
We decided to break up our return trip from vacation. It was easy to get a room on short notice. Very clean and pet friendly.
Not bad. Still smokey smelling despite being renovated. The king suite is kind of odd - just a bigger room with a couch and dresser. Few lights and no outlets or lamp at the desk. But overall very clean and super quiet even during the bike rally weekend.
Five reasons I had to write this review:||1. Front desk clerk was visibly annoyed when we arrived because we interrupted her scrolling on her tablet.||2. She checked us into three rooms all of which were dirty with unmade beds and food debris! Her response was that she could not tell which rooms were clean??!!!||3. When I expressed my frustration she said I needed to leave the building??!!||4. I asked for a refund she said she was going to call the police!!!! I explained I would leave once I had proof of a refund.||5. She called her manager to assist processing refund. It took the two of them 20 minutes to figure out how to send me a cancelation email??!!!||||Went down the street to Comfort Inn. Was checked in by a polite front desk clerk. Rooms were clean. What a difference in experiences! ||||Will never stay at a La Quinta or Wyndham property again!
The room was very large, and the bed was quite comfy. The room was clean. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, and all the carby stuff you usually find. The wallpaper in the hallway had seen better days, no dirty but scuffed. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. I would stay again.

The room was very clean. The bathrooms had Dove soap and lotion that smelled really good. The hotel breakfast was good too! And there are many restaurants near the hotel. I definitely recommend this Holiday Inn! ð
I thoroughly enjoy the wonderful soaps, body moisture creams, and chapstick. The scents are wonderful. Some of the chapstick is seasonal, which makes it fun.
