La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas South-DeSoto - Hotel in DeSoto - 641 S Interstate 35 E, USA

We were in town for a major event and this was by far the worst hotel choice ever. I understand that hotels are swamped when events happen, but management is aware of events well in advance to prepare for busy time frames. If you know there’s a special event, you should consider doubling your staff on shifts, cooking extra breakfast, stocking extra towels etc. The hotel was not prepared at all. The staff was never at the front desk when needed, the breakfast was always low, the rooms were not fully clean! There was an old wash cloth hanging on my bathroom shower, a roach was seen running in front of the TV (See pictures), the TV STAND/Dresser was dirty (see pictures), the towels had hair on them. Not to mention, I asked for a plunger at 7AM in the morning and was told by the front desk that no one has access to the housekeeping closet where the plungers are kept, so I would have to wait until 9AM when housekeeping arrives. Thats another issue. Did management not think maintenance issues would arise? Front desk should have access to plungers etc in any event, the staff that handles those issues are not available. I could go on and on, but for the most part, this facility needs some major attention. I tried to speak with management, but that didn’t work out well considering he disconnected the call because I shared my opinion of the hotel and the issues/concerns that took place. This was my first time staying at a LaQuinta Inn and is definitely my last! What a horrible experience.

This is by far my NEW FAVORITE HOTEL !! It has been so nice and pleasant that i just keep extending my stay..but got to get back to work soon. It is always a HIT and MISS with a new HOTEL..but it all started w ANA who was super nice when I first called ...she provided me w EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE !! ...and hats off to JP and Katrina also. At any rate if you are looking for an AMAZING stay somewhere DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP !!

The only reason this place received a 2 star rating was the front desk gave good customer service. -Couldn't check in because rooms weren't ready because they were short staffed. -First room had roaches and door would only stay closed if locked. -Unattended children ran halls and up and down stairs all day. Reported to front desk. Still went on. - Upon arrival, entire 2nd floor lined with trash in halls until the next day. - Moved to second room on 4th floor. Dirty towels, nasty toilet and of course roaches. - I was also bitten by something on my arm and leg. Left a bruise that's still there almost 2 weeks later. - Emailed GM almost 2 weeks ago. Still no response.

Katrina, was very helpful and quickly checked us in. She had a large group of about 15 arrive just ahead of us and she handles them with poise and efficiency. Our room was decent and the beds were comfy. However the furniture was very much visibly worn. The most concerning parts of our stay were the presence of mold in the bathroom and the amount of roaches we saw in the room. The fact we saw so many gave me no desire to partake in the breakfast offered the next morning. While I'm thankful a room was available for the night I have no intention of visiting this establishment ever again

Very comfy and spacious room with added couch sitting area, great bed, large smart tv, nice bath and shower plus part of Wyndham travel rewards. Close to many places. We used this as stay over for friends 50th wedding anniversary celebration!No complaints, enjoyed it!

I have been to plenty of hotels. This is the first time I have ever experienced a hotel having roaches. I was there for a company orientation. After class about 2 or 3 in the afternoon when you walk in daily there was a strong smell of bug spray daily. When you come down after 5 all you smell is weed.

I had to change rooms 3 times. Room 212 and 303 had roaches. I was totally disgusted after they appeared on the TV. After looking behind the TV and trash can I saw quite few more bugs. The receptionist at the front desk was very helpful, but I will not be staying at this location ever again!. Just terrible please call an exterminator!!

This is the most rudest,,unbelievable experience!! I have ever had with staying at laquinta.I am a business owner and I always stay at laquinta.But I will no longer be staying with them.Upon checking in with them, I encountered a booking problem and while fixing the problem upon checking in. The lady Stormy would still not check me in. She simply looked upon me as if I was a homeless person off the street. I contained my composure I did everything she had asked upon request. To still not let me stay and get turned away as if my money was no good. Her customer service is rude!!and the way she acted towards white people was unbelievably racists.. The elevator did not work and people were having to take the stairs who were incapable of taking the stairs. Also upon waiting in the lobby her random selection of checking people to see if they had their keys was upon selection of color. I will not be accountable upon the color of my rationality and will be taking this to corporate.
