La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Colorado Springs South AP - Hotel in Colorado Springs - 2750 Geyser Dr, USA

I stayed one night, 8/28/24 and received 6 Spider Bites that have become infected. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. It's Dirty, 1 elevator in the whole hotel, rude morning staff that just disappears leaving a sign "Will be back". Dirty breakfast area that doesn't get wiped down or the tables either. Parents let their kids go touching the muffins and fruit when they aren't taking any to eat and contaminating everything in the process. Random people walking around the parking area looking in vehicles, just standing by the entryway watching who goes in and out. I didn't feel particularly safe there.

Watch out for your vehicle at night. Even though this is a nice area, we suffered vandalism, and someone keyed our beautiful new pick up truck. We were told by the staff that there was nothing they could do. When I asked him to roll back to security cameras, they stated that they did not have any on the exterior of the property. This is unacceptable. We had to also ask for towels every single day and that was a chore because they were never any clean towels. And bring your own set of towels every day! For every day of your state that is. The woman at the bar was extremely nasty and rude and would lock the door behind her so that people could not bother her. She was treating customers rudely. The manager had a very lazy And uncaring attitude. The rooms stunk and smelled like animal, urine and feces. The carpet was filthy and there was pet hair everywhere. The beds were extremely comfortable in the air was nice and cold, this was our only positive of our experience during our whole state for a week. Staff ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex is in soap. Again, zero towels every day! unacceptable, buy more towels, right? Breakfast bar was nasty and lacking and very dirty and unclean. We have never had such a negative experience. Some of the staff were extremely friendly, and the location was good and central to a lot of things, but the lack of security at this property is unacceptable. Beware of vandalism! Lots of crime in this area, even though it is an affluent area close by.

Beautiful, clean grounds and building in a convenient location. The room was comfortable and clean. The price of the room was reasonable for the time of year we stayed. The breakfast service was lacking as there was no attendant to maintain it. We would definitely consider staying here again during future visits to the area.

When calling to make a reservation at the hotel, for our planned trip, Wyndham upsold us another hotel stay for future use, which was unexpected, and annoying. During the reservation for the planned trip, they asked what accommodations we would like, like what floor we preferred, and if we wanted a pool view or not. I had asked to be on the 6th floor but was not given a room number at the time of the reservation. but told us they would fit us in when we arrived. This proved to be annoying and disappointing when we checked in and were put on the first floor instead. We were given two key cards for our room, which had to be reset almost every time we left the room or building. We got locked out of not only our room but the building and had to walk all the way around the building to get in instead of using the key card. Then half the time we needed the key card reset there was no one at the front desk to help us, so we had a lot of wasted time waiting on staff, and being locked out of our room. The breakfast was too early, so we did not get to experience this accommodation. I also had a problem with the cleanliness of the room, having sticky floors both in the bathroom tile and on the carpet in our room which made it gross to step on with bare feet. Overall, this was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced.

I was worried about our room because of the reviews but my husband says that's where we'll be staying. The room was nice and clean, although the carpet could use some cleaning because of some stains, the microwave and fridge work and were also clean. So far its been good and they had good breakfast, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, sausage patties, cereal, mini muffins and more. The front desk guys are friendly as well as the staff. The air conditioning works great .

Unfortunately, most, if not all, of the negative reviews are correct. We booked this hotel super last minute due to an interesting VRBO situation. They were able to get us in, which was nice. The lobby had no AC, and we had to wait about 30-45 min because our room wasn't ready yet. The hallways also reeked of urine and weed, which was absolutely disgusting. The room was decently clean, with the exception of a few mysterious stains on the bed and floor. Overall, it's not that bad, considering our last-minute booking. But we will not be staying here again.

The pictures looked nice and updated however the inside was awful. The entire hotel needs a serious remodel. Pitbulls were unmanned and urinating on the hall curtains. The elevator was broken and the elevator they had us use was missing its guardrail. The exterior doors were unlocked and propped open. The pool was freezing and the furniture was in poor condition. The breakfast was minimal. Would not stay again and do not recommend.

Stopped for a quick overnight stay. We liked the convenience of the location. Upon walking in, the smell was atrocious all throughout the lobby, hall & stairs. The bathroom had mold. The beds were old & uncomfortable. I agree with the numerous other bad reviews. Move on to the next place & save yourself from the filth.
