La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Boston-Andover - Hotel in Andover - 131 River Rd, USA

This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, in a while. It's run down, no service help. We discovered our bed had what looked like either dog hair or men's leg hair. The ceiling is peeling layers of paint. The carpet looks like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. Just a dump of a place. Bed are really old and very uncomfortable. There are very.old mattress pads on these beds. I'm totally grossed out by this )a Qunita. I would not return to this hotel.

During my stay on thanksgiving I was honored to have met lovely people that work there! From breakfast attendants to door greater! Thank you for allowing my stay enjoyable and safe! Thank for the beautiful breakfast every morning and thank you for allowing us to enjoy the pool with our family!!

Nice room, only downsides were the tub drain was blocked so it filled up when taking a shower and the shampoo & bodywash bottles were just about empty! TV remote didn't work but otherwise the room was clean, bed was comfortable and it was an overall good experience.

I came from 10/13-10/16 to visit Salem for Halloween. My service dog Salem was with me. The staff was excellent from day 1. I never had to ask twice for anything. The inside of hotel was clean, the outside, well a lot of litterbugs that can’t seem to find two trash bins by the entrance of the hotel. The mattress was squeaky but comfortable for a hotel mattress. Pillows…could be just me but they were too soft. If you have neck issues or prefer firm pillows, bring your own. I like that they have Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash in pumps in the shower, nice touch. Breakfast…boring. Every day it was the same, scrambled eggs, sausage, no bacon, bagels, toast, three different types of cereal, no oatmeal, and just red apples and bananas. They also had waffles. Orange and apple juice only and coffee. Be careful of the coffee cups, the lids don’t always fit and the cups always leak. While they don’t offer room service you don’t need it, Grubhub has many options and Chilis is walking distance. I didn’t check out the pool because I wasn’t there to swim but from what I saw from a distance looked good. Dunkin Donuts is across the street at the incredibly expensive gas station. You can get cheaper gas elsewhere. This hotel is 45-60 minutes away from the Salem festivities. I would stay here again if those Salem festivities where not on my itinerary. I wish I was closer but it wasn’t bad at all. I only say this because getting around Salem and parking is a nightmare.

For the money, this is a great hotel to go to. Everything was good. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was delicious. We take trip to the Boston area every year. I am not sure if we will stay at the LaQuinta again. We may look for something just a little better.

When you go to a hotel, you expect that the room will be properly cleaned and the toiletries will be stocked or refilled. Dirty towels are a definite no. The elevator was confusing since the buttons are not properly labeled. The Thermostat didn’t work and the walls were so thin I had to listen to by drunken neighbors. The food was bland. The eggs were definitely the powdered type but no seasoning. When I asked for a do not disturb sign or a pet in room sign, I was told they don’t have them but not to worry, no one would come to the room unless I called them. The signs aren’t just for hotel employee notification but also so that when other guests pass by they might know that someone was getting shuteye. We left early so we could drive 3 hours to get some sleep at home. By the way, don’t ask if they have a commissary, just tell them a little store. But don’t worry, the store is barely stocked so you will probably have to go to the gas station across the street.

Service was good and staff was friendly. The hotel is close enough to the highway which is a bonus but far off from public transit to Boston area. The room was damp and there were sign of moisture on some surfaces. Door was not cutting sound at all and we could very well ear everyone in the hallway. Breakfast is typical but bland.
