La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Allen at The Village - Hotel in Allen - 1220 N Central Expy, USA

+ I have stayed at the Allen TX La Quinta a few times now. It's close to my sister's house. Each time has been the same, Great! The check in goes quickly. The staff is friendly, my room is always clean and fresh. The AC/Heat always works, fridge, micro, and little baby coffee maker are super nice to have in the room. The continental breakfast, is what it is. I'm just down there for the coffee because the 1 pod in the room is never enough! For the price, this hotel is always going to be my number 1 choice when I go see my sis. It is very nice and friendly and clean, even other guests there are nice. - ONE THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL ... DO NOT PUT YOUR ROOM KEY NEXT TO YOUR CELL PHONE!!!! They should post signs about that. I have had to get a new room key almost every single time because just by habit I put my key in my pocket with my phone. It demagnetizes it. That's my only complaint. Enjoy your stay!

Our room was perfect for our needs. Being able to have our two small dogs with us was a plus. Breakfast was good - eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, yogurt, juices, breads. The room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. The bed was perfect - had a great nights sleep (also very quiet). If in the area again, we will be back.

The room is clean and well kept. There are no drawers to unload your suitcase. There are shelves. The fridge was very noisy. There was a hair dryer but it was broken. They didn't have a replacement for it. The location is okay. It was close to most things we needed. The breakfast was good. I liked it was available from 6 to 9. There is a walking path not far from the hotel that was very nice.

The room was clean, spacious, and modernly designed. The bathroom was great as well. Continental breakfast had a decent number of offerings including waffles which was nice. A/C in the room worked great, which was huge since it was 107°. I will say the towels were super thin and probably some of the worst towels I’ve used in hotels… and I’m not a picky towel person. Service wise, not bad. They cleaned and restocked towels each day without being asked to. Overall, a solid hotel that is budget friendly at its price point.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel as my room was not cleaned for two consecutive days. First day food that was brought up to the room and was still in the room when I came back at night. Second day was worse, the beds were not made, bathroom was dirty from the previous day and trash was not even picked up as we had left garbage bags from we purchases we had made the prior day prior. Despite raising the issue with the reception staff, we were told we had put a do not disturbed sign outside which is a lie - we noticed all they had done was pick up the dirty towers we had left on the bathroom floor. This lack of housekeeping service seriously impacted my stay and overall satisfaction. Not only do I hope the management addresses this issue promptly to prevent similar incidents in the future, but provide a full refund for my stay. The reason I usually stay at chain hotels is that I know what to expect as the motto is “best surprise, is no surprise” as you know what to expect. This below bar experience is inexcusable.

Nice family friendly location. There is some construction going on in the front of the building but it goes unnoticed inside. The complementary breakfast offers multiple options. The eggs and meat options were hot. The rooms were clean and spacious and the housekeeping was professional and prompt with requests. Located close to the Allen outlets . Highly recommend

Positive: The staff was helpful and friendly. Negative: It would be helpful to have a change machine for laundry or make sure night shift has enough quarters. We stayed here last year and everything was great. Quiet rooms, facilities in good condition, etc. So it was an easy choice to come back, right? There's some external aesthetics(broken windows, every hvac vent cover broken, Styrofoam shards everywhere) that make the property look very shabby. Inside the property the wallpaper is peeling at every join and broken floor tiles. Appearances aside, there's significant construction happening on both side of the building and crews were working until after midnight, making for a less than peaceful night. The tv is supplied by Dish so the picture is very laggy/glitchy. YouTube cut out after the first day, and because it's a holiday weekend (Thanksgiving) nobody was able or willing to reboot the server. In house Wi-Fi is super slow, so watching anything on your devices doesn't work either. Pros: clean rooms, comfy bed, decent breakfast buffet, easy access to shopping, restaurants and freeways. Cons: amenities, appearance, traffic and construction noise.
