Hidden gem. This museum/house is very interesting. Gives insight to local history and living/building of locals. House dates to 1775. The docent was very informative and enthusiastic. We spent 2 hours exploring and learning. Highly recommended
What a lovely way to spend a morning!! The wonderful Museum manager ensured that each set of guests had insight into the history of the families and the construction/ restoration of the site. He had an overall enthusiasm for the history of the site that was contagious. If you go, really take the time to read all the informative displays and look at the artifacts. The site is a Mississippi treasure.
Quiet, understated, interesting with a great view of the lake historical visit. A must see if passing through Pascagoula. It's a great way to spend the afternoon.
Very informed, knowledgeable docent. Excellent museum artifacts and displays of history from ancient times to present. Unique building methods explained. Beautiful setting on Krebs Lake.
I visited LaPointe-Krebs House on August 19th it was very interesting. As we entered the Museum a young man met us and greeted us with a warm welcome!! He let us sign in and took us on a little tour of the museum and listed some of the more interesting things of the family and the house!! We continued on our self guided tour of the property and found a man outside by the house working & he was mixing up a special mortar made out of oyster shells that was used to help build the home with. He talked to us a little about the history of the property and the house itself he also took us over to the old saw that they would have used in the day to build the house as well! We found it all very interesting!! I have really loved visiting a lot of the old homes around Mississippi and Mobile!! If you haven’t visited them it’s a must see especially if you have a large group or a group of students!! It would be a great history lesson learning about the history of the area!!
This is an out of the way museum that is a must see. Especially if you want to know a lot about the Gulf Coast area. There is a lot of information and some artifacts. Go check this gem out.
Great museum full of local history. Air conditioned building housing displays has restrooms and grounds are well kept. Major additional restorations underway to make it even better!
This was a neat place to visit while being broke down in the Pascagoula/Moss Point area. Lots of history here and will have to come back once the house is fully restored.

Great place for a breeze off the water. We saw someone fishing and he caught a few fish while we were there. Iâm assuming itâs OK to fish there. It has a covered area at the end with benches to sit. Definitely worth the walk out to the end.
What a âlittle gem!â (Southern gardeners will get the reference). Lovely room in an historic house with modern comfort. We came for a performance (Alabama Troubadours) at the Grand Magnolia Ballroom and booked a room so we wouldnât have to dri

What a nice place to unwind. They have really worked to enhance this area from what I remember as a kid, it's beautiful. A great place to fish, walk or just relax in your car. Take your lunch and just hang out or explore. You'll really enjoy it.
I don't like pickles... and yet they make a pizza topped only with cheese and pickle chips that's just fantastic. Wonderful staff and delicious food. Atmosphere is nothing special, but neither is it off-putting. 10/10 would recommend.
