Nelson was wonderful to have as our server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained the menu well enough so I could make decisions on what to order. The food was very tasteful. We enjoyed our dining experience.

First of all, YUM!! Thank you, La Parrilla, for making us an outstanding Skirt Steak. Both dishes were seasoned perfect, cooked perfectly (medium). Every bite was followed by an Mmmmm. Really!! If you have never tried this plate, what are you waiting for? You will not be disappointed.

The previous charm of this place was much preferred; the warm and inviting atmosphere has been replaced by a bright setting reminiscent of a McDonald's cafe or a hospital cafeteria. We used to adore this spot, but with the recent remodel and price changes, it feels like a step in the wrong direction. Additionally, the drinks were a disappointment; they lacked pleasant flavors and seemed akin to poorly mixed, overpoured college drinks. The overall experience, including the beverage quality, has left us unsatisfied after the remodel and changes in prices. Furthermore, the Carne Asada we ordered was notably overpriced considering the small portion size. The combination of high prices and diminished portion sizes has further contributed to our disappointment with the recent changes in the restaurant. Despite our concerns with the remodel, pricing, and food portions, it's important to note that the service remained excellent. The staff's attentiveness and professionalism were commendable, offering a positive aspect amid our overall mixed experience.

The Chicken Fajitas are INCREDIBLE!! The Fajitas come with Rice, Refried Beans, and all the fixings like Guacamole, Vegetables, & Sour Cream, served with your choice of Flour or Corn Tortillas. Order it..you won't be disappointed!!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in south Alabama. Quality is top tier & the staff is always friendly and smiling.

The food was wonderful! It had a nice, eye-catching atmosphere and, oh my goodness, the servers were so sweet. There was one lady with beautiful eyeliner and her hair in two buns, I can't recall her name but she was so nice and incredible. Love this place; would come again!

Great stuff here!! Was visiting from out of town and asked several locals where to get good Mexican. They all said La Parilla. They weren't wrong either, it's really good! Salsa was tasty, got some nachos and a taco salad, both were great. Well, except the taco salad shell/bowl was weird. Like not crispy and bubbly like usual. Still a solid experience.

12/19/2023 Updated: Stopped in this evening for carry out, sadly the experience was not even close to my first review. Inconsistent comes to mind. The rice was super salty, dried bits of veggies, lots of mushy rice chunks. Got the Steak street tacos (3) requested no sauce but that I needed lime pieces instead, I won't eat them without lime. Get home NO limes, not okay. Try to make the best of it and eat it anyway, the steak was soft but had no seasoning whatsoever, gross..the ground beef tacos tonight were also just not good, not even close to what we got last time. My husband couldn't even get through eating one. Bar staff could have been much friendlier. Disappointed for 55.00 in carry out+ tip. Food was packaged well. Original I can't speak for dine in service just yet but I can on a delivery order. Absolutely delicious meal, everything looked great, smelled great. Packaged well for delivery. We ordered the burrito meals with flank steak and another with ground beef in it with the cheese sauce. Rice had plenty of flavor and was cooked just right, steak and beef were both also seasoned nicely. Nice size portions. Kids taco meal was very good. Definitely not disappointed and looking forward to dining in soon as we are new the area.
