La Isla Restaurante - Puerto Rican restaurant in Pinellas Park - 9150 49th St N, USA

I'm so glad I found this place. The authentic Puerto Rican cuisine is delicious, very reasonably priced, and the staff was very courteous. The restaurant was very clean and the ambience was inviting. I will definitely be returning to La Isla!

Friends my wife and I were in the area and were craving for some Puerto Rican food. We found this place La Isla Restaurant. Plenty of parking, basically empty, don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad? Anyways upon entering we were greeted and served. The hot fresh food is located to your right behind a subways like process. We ordered white rice, sweet fried bananas, half a chicken, also rice and sweet plantains with pork. Rice and beans were bland, no spices, no salt, NO Sorito? Que que? Chico men, what’s up with that papi? And you going to tell me no avocado? That’s a huge no no in our culture especially in FL. Anyways for two people we were charged $33.68, a bit pricey. In addition the place was empty, appeared clean expect the unisex restroom was filthy, not clean. Over all, would I come back here? No! I know I said 3 stars on my video, but after learning about the restroom I changed my mind down to a 2 stars.

The food is excellent and all the dishes are visible for you to choose from. Also, there is such a down home warmth to the owner…LOL feels like your dad or grandpa is making your plate!

I've been wanting to come here as it's practically across the street but hadn't gotten to until now. It's not like other places where you sit and wait to be served. You walk in, get your food, and then you sit with your food on hand if they don't have to replenish. If not, then you have to wait for it. The food was delicious, and my non Latino friend enjoyed it more than me. 🤣🤣🙂 Will absolutely go again. 👌

So polite and wonderful food. . Great price for the amount they give u.. meats are always so tender. lunch price is the best time to go.. I'll have to get a pic next time .

I’m Latino and know my latin cuisine. The food tasted old and stale. They also don’t stack your plate. Nearly ALL latino places are known for giving you a lot of food for the price. Not here. Not returning unless food is served fresh daily and generous portions are given

Best Spanish food in town and service was great

The food was ok nothing special. There is no waitress you walk in grab a tray tell the gentleman what you want from the options and he serves you and you go and sit to eat. I went to pay it was for 3 adults the total bill was $60.00. I was floored by the cost. There is a sign that says $9.99 between set hours. Won't be going back to that restaurant 😞
