Found this little hole in the wall by accident. Authentic food, fresh, hot and tasty. It has climbed to the best Spanish food I have ever had. Portions are HUGE. If your passing through Shelbyville, skip all the fast food places and try this place. Its well worth it.
Authentic Mexican cuisine with a wide variety of meats to choose from. Family operated, staff is friendly and helpful. Dining area is very casual and clean. The mole sauce is rich, smoky, spicy and the best I have tasted. Prices are modest.
If you know me, you must know that it is rare for me to give a restaurant or any place a 5 star rating. This restaurant has the most authentic Mexican food you will ever find in Kentucky. Even though it is in Shelbyville County, I would truly recommend going there if you want real authentic food. We really enjoyed it. I could tell that all the vegetables were cut at the moment as they looked fresh. We also had a Michelada. I was, quite refreshing. The bathrooms were absolutely clean. And with people coming in and out, you can tell They love this place and it stays busy. So give it a shot and stop by. It's a 25 -30 minute drive from Louisville, but it is totally worth it. If you want really fresh and authentic Mexican food!!
When you enter a Mexican restaurant and it’s full of Mexican people, you know you’re going to have an awesome meal and experience! From the warm greeting and excellent service to the scrumptious meals and homemade tortillas, this place rocks! It’s among the best Mexican I’ve ever had - for real!
Off the charts!!! Best Mexican ever. Most authentic I have ever had. We had home-made salsas and chips. Guacamole. Burritos, quesadillas, tacos, Gorditas, huaraches.
Traditional little hole in the wall with PHENOMENAL food! Not Americanized much at all! We had sopes de lingua y pozole. Both were on point. They also have tons for the less adventurous. The wait staff is bilingual & willing to help. We're definitely going back regularly!
Some of the best Mexican food I've had here in Kentuckiana, one of Shelbeyvilles hidden gems. Real authentic Mexican food prepared with love by real, authentic, hard working Mexicans, it's a family run restaurant and they do a great job. The chips were hot off the press, the salsa was awesome, I had a marinated meat burrito with real queso and it was great. Would highly recommend, you won't be sorry, be sure to support your locals and a good hard working christian family

My food was absolutely delicious, and my drink was very taste. My food came out pretty fast, which was great because I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa. I highly recommend stopping by here to eat. I know for sure that I will be back.
Iâve ordered the quesabirria twice. Each time the server expressed mild and pleasant surprise that an Anglo would order it. They are delicious and now is my favorite Mexican dish. Look it up on Google, and if it sounds interesting, give it a try.
