La Doña Authentic Mexican Taste - Mexican restaurant in Fairfield - 1444 W Texas St, USA

Stopped here on our road trip because it has 4.5 stars. Food was fresh but average. Service very good our waitress was very sweet. The restaurant itself is in a little strip plaza but is clean and well kept.

Best Mexican restaurant , let me tell you coming from Vegas and pretty fussy about flavors that are authentic. Don't miss out on this lil treasure in Fairfield . Had my first WineTequilla cocktail, WOW! Everything tastes so homemade.

The food here does not disappoint. This is the only place that has refried beans that reminds my wife of her childhood, the best hands down. I had the Camarones mojo de ajo with fresh homemade corn tortillas. My wife had two crispy tacos. One chicken and one Shredded beef. My only complaint was that the service was lacking today. Once we were served, that was the last time we saw our server. So that meant no extra Napkins and no refill of our drinks. We've always loved this spot so I'll chalk up today as an off day. ***Update*** 11/11/22 Came here again. My wife had a combo plate with tacos and a flauta. I had the chimichanga filled with steak and get this....chili verde. It was kind of a special request thing the waitress recommended to me. It was very good. It's official, I'm just gonna say it right here and right now. If you want Mexican food, go here. Don't go anywhere else. This is the best spot in Fairfield hands down.

They charge $7.50 for one fish taco, which tasted absolutely bland. I have been coming here for years but the last year or so the service and food quality have completely gone by the wayside. The waitresses that they have working must be family because they have no service skills whatsoever.. I would definitely not recommend this place.

It's OK. I ordered the Super Burrito because I love it fully loaded. However they gave me a teaspoon of guacamole which you can clearly see was not fresh (looked old).The inside didnt have no guac at all. I also tried their hibiscus water and that was very refreshing, love it! The restaurant Is tucked in a small plaza, the parking was not the best, very tight. The inside of restaurant is pretty spacious for large groups, also has outside dining. The staff was friendly. Honestly I probably won't come here again, The food didn't taste authentic. Oh, yea! I Forgot to mention the outside sign is Super faded that you can hardly read the business name.

Food and service was excellent. Husband got fajitas loaded with steak, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. I got the Taco salad which was wonderful. I couldn't come close to finishing it as it was big enough for 3 along with the chips. Chips were thicker than I like (almost like a cracker) but salsa and hot green dip were both great; also very fresh guac. Tabletops were nice, glass over colorful cloth that cleans up well (versus gummy wood). Seats need to be repaired as they were in very bad shape but otherwise a positive experience. Didn't use bathroom. Everything appeared clean. Would recommend.

Really good food. When I went there maybe 4 or 5 tables were taken and most of them already had their food. It took a long time for the server to come and take our order even though they were not busy.
