A huge asset to our community! The library offers so many free opportunities to the public: storytimes, activities for kids, groups for adults along with so many lending options like books, puzzles, tools etc. The staff always have smiling faces! This is such a great library system! 👏

The building is hideous architecturally, truly a shame they tore down the gorgeous building that was previously on the site. By comparison, Winona kept its 1880s building. Nonetheless, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the collection far outweighs this minor gripe. In addition, this library let's users request library purchase of five books a week (provided they are new and relevant). Truly a wonderful community service.

The library staff is very helpful and will help you with computer applications, they will help you with a fax if needed or to download and copy forms. They are kind and warm people...there to help. They are the best. The Lacrosse Library is a good place for all people. .

Wonderful librarians and selection. We especially love the children's section. More than books, they also have movies, games, and toys. They also have a good selection of adult books too.

I just visited the Onalaska Library and it made me so grateful for the La Crosse Main st Library. I've got children that frequent this library and the children's area staff are way more than anyone could ask for. Very hospitable and warm. Friendly. It's a beautiful library with many amenities.

I haven't been here yet. Cannot seem to inquire anywhere on the website how to go about getting children library cards. Even when searching library cards, or such, cannot find any information. Just books on library cards. That's not good. Also, are you ADA and CDC and HIPPA Compliant? I had multiple liver and lung cancer surgeries, makes it harder to breathe with a mask on when you have half a lung, a restructured bronchial tube and other issues.. Just saying..
