We love coming to LaConner. Check in was fast and friendly. We were given wine tasting tickets for a nearby place. Our room was nice and clean. The biggest problem we had was it was so cold. We had the fireplace on and the thermostats all at 80 but the room never got warmer than 65. The hallways were cold and the people eating breakfast on the 2nd floor had coats and stocking hats on. We didn’t want to complain at the front desk because they were wearing winter jackets while working. We will come back but maybe not when it is so cold that their heaters can’t keep up.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They shut off the main water for service and never advised us. Checkout is 11 and shut off the main water at 10. We had traveled over an hour for our stay. There was no apology made saying they thought they advised us. We had to travel back home for showers. So much for our vacation. Management called back after leaving a message and offered us $20 off our $350 room. Disgraceful and will never be recommending them to anyone again and we will no longer stay there. What happened to true customer service?

The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming, and the room clean. The balcony provided some peaceful relaxation time. But the rest of our stay was simply not worth the cost. We splurged on a corner king room with separate (although not divided) seating area and jacuzzi tub. We rarely splurge, but thought it would be worth it here. We were quickly proven wrong. When reserving the room, I specifically asked if shops, restaurants, and wineries would be open during our stay since small town businesses often have limited hours during the off season. I was assured businesses were open. Our plan was to wander around the shops, go to the wine tasting that is advertised as coming with a night’s stay, and bring a bottle back to the room to enjoy the jacuzzi and balcony. Unfortunately, fewer than half the shops were open, and the winery closed on Mondays. After dinner we were looking forward to the fresh baked cookies advertised at being at the front desk every evening, only to be told with a shrug that no one was available to make them that day. The “complimentary” water bottles are available at the front desk, and only two per stay. After reviewing our bill, it appears we were charged for the two we requested. If you stay here, bring your own water as the tap water tastes like chemicals and soap. The shower head is above the jacuzzi tub which made for an awkward shower. The floor of the jacuzzi has a steeper slope toward the drain and I almost lost my balance twice which showering. Fortunately, they provide a non-skid mat for use during showering. The layout of the room was awkward with some furniture blocking the balcony door. A few pieces of furniture have definitely seen better days. The balcony is tiny, which is not a problem for two people, although a surprise. The bedroom portion of the room has one tiny window with no view. Lighting in the room is dim, and the switches hard to find or understand. The walls and floors are definitely paper thin. We could hear the people above us talking, walking, and dropping things, as well as other “indoor sports.” When we asked to talk to a manager in the morning to explain our disappointment, we were given a lot of excuses with no apologies. A simple apology, or small refund would have gone a long way. If we hadn’t splurged, we wouldn’t have been so disappointed. The cost of the king is simply not worth it. Especially during such a slow time. Ironically, all the excuses had to do with the fact that it is the off season, so there are fewer guests. One would think they would be appreciative of the guests who are there rather than be dismissive of any concerns.

This was our first time at LaConner Lodge--great experience. We had a room with a fireplace that overlooked the water and the marina. Lots of boat traffic to look at. Gas fireplace and decor was very nice and perfect for our getaway as a couple. There is coffee making things in the room. The continental breakfast is very fresh and good (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, breads, muffins, orange juice, milk, cereal, coffee, etc. Room was very clean and everything worked fine. Staff is efficient, friendly, helpful. WE will go here again. Watch the website for specials in the off season. I mentioned this was perfect for our getaway as a couple, but the Lodge is excellent for anyone-families, whoever.

What a great experience! From the moment we were greeted at reception until we checked out after a great breakfast, we knew we were staying in a classy place. Comfortable room with a fireplace to chase out the chill, with a channel view that was out of this world, this was an experience we will not forget. Thanks for making the weekend so lovely!

Stayed in the suite over the gatehouse. Fireplace, bubbly tub, walk to wonderful dinner and special care by the Lodge. Drawing gifted us a basket with Processco, brie and lovely grapes. Christmas decor was lovely. Special touches from the staff make it so nice. Breakfast is always so relaxed and lovely.

Celebrating our Wedding Anniversary at the La Conner Channel Lodge. My husband booked this for our two-day stay for anniversary. At the time we could not get the water view side as it was blocked out due to a wedding happening on Veterans Day. They gave us our own little 2-story bungalow with our own private door. It was super cute and cozy. They left a Anniversary card with chocolates and Champaigne glasses in our room We had a huge Jacuzzi tub. The gas fireplace was not working properly or the windows as we had to call for Maintenance twice. They had a very small mini-TV dated from the 90's. I would suggest an upgrade on that, so you don't need to use the DVD player. || We hit bad windstorms the night before, that took the entire town out of power on Veterans Day. We had no electricity but had a battery lamp in our room. Breakfast was served only cold things as muffins/cereal as the cooks couldn't cook. The entire hotel and street were out. We received two wine vouchers to do wine tasting/drinking next door and could not use them due to power outage. |The entire town was shut down. We ended up leaving at 10am the next day as we couldn't eat out. This place was nice and very pricey. It would have been nice to offer a discount to come back and stay or anything to help the situation. The front desk younger staff was not to friendly and very non-talkative when asked what things to do and go too. They were not willing to help give us ideas or places to go as they look bothered by guests asking questions. Very sad to see this kind of service being taught at this nice location.

The positives: The location is excellent, the King Suite was a good size and the parking provides easy access to the room. Unfortunately the fan on the heater could wake the dead (and it cycles constantly), the fireplace only lit across half of the faux log and the room is extremely dim. The lighting is very inadequate, and the showerhead is dinky. Lastly, I haven't seen TVs this small in 10+ years.

A great place to visit! The history of the building and family that owned it is very interesting. Then, to top that - the creativity in the quilts and textile pieces is so inspiring. Wandering through the house is a treat. And the gift shop is lovely
