Fantastic little spot. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They were super accommodating to a vegetarian diet and made us veggie fajitas that were absolutely delicious. Don’t sleep on the chunky guac either - I was very impressed. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the Rusk area. Have already been back once in less than a month :)
We have plenty of Mexican restaurants here in the area. This place is my favorite. I really enjoy the food. The service is amazing. I haven't eaten anything there I didn't like. Definitely, make a trip here. You won't be disappointed.
Great fajitas and guisado. Charro beans we tasty as well and rice was flavorful. The staff was very friendly. Great place to try if you're passing through.
Food was good but the service could be improved. Charro beans were very good. Salsa was mild but they brought some green salsa that had some heat. Small seating area. We’d go back when we’re in the area.
I had the carnitas and oh my stars!!!! They are the best I have ever had. Soft without being mushy and oh so full of flavor. The first red sauce was way too mild for me so I asked for something a bit spicier. I had to mix the two which was a shame. The second sauce has so much flavor it's incredible. It was just too spicy.. My waitress was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the food choices. I really enjoyed this place.
Don't let the humble looks of La Charra fool you. This is a top notch restaurant with service surpassed only by the food, that is saying A LOT. Free margaritas with your meal. Prices are pre recession! Dont miss out on this treasure.
Nice friendly local spot. Good Mexican dishes. Friendly, the owner knows everybody. Green tomatillo chicken enchilada are excellent, the Alexa special is indeed special.
This was our first visit but not our last! Plenty of parking, and the best part..no stairs or steps to climb. We stepped from the scorching outside heat into a wonderfully cool space. The wait staff was great. Food excellent and the prices were good. We were having a light meal about 3pm. Once our Texas heatwave goes away, we'll be trying their outdoor dining. We found our new favorite Mexican food!!
Iâve been a customer of the Daily Grind since I was about 13 years old. It has nearly been two decades and thus coffeehouse is still brewing strong. My favorite drink to get is a dirty chai hot during the winter and an iced chai during the summer.
Such a cute and serine park! Love the history behind the bridge. The area is pretty big and it would be nice if they added a few more picnic tables. Glad we got to see this historical site and take some lovely pictures.
Stayed here during the ice storm so I didn't have to drive back to Tyler. Front desk was a nice guy, took was clean, heater worked, hot water and a fridge. I didn't need much else.
Definitely going back if I need to stay in Rusk again.
