Here is a little taste of real Oaxaca, Mexico. Unpretentious, family friendly, lots of Oaxacan people there. Great food, pictures by the menu items, great Mexican ranchera music. Plus downtown Woodburn looking pretty good!
Friendly service and good food at fair prices. Food was out fairly quickly too. The red salsa has a kick of spiciness and is good. Machetes do tend to be on the greasier side, otherwise fully recommend.
This is THE place to eat after a good shopping day! Do try their Mole Poblano specialty on Sundays. They do the mole in house from scratch. Don’t miss the famous Machete. We had a half Carne al Albañil half Chicharron Prensado Machete and we almost wanted to order a second one. BTW! The tortillas are VERY generous. Service is outstanding and everything is clean! I’ll be coming back!
This place has very unique food, very delicious and very good drinks made fresh every day. Definitely recommend.
This is a great little family spot behind a tienda. I got the Machete split with 1/2 Huitlacoche (corn mushrooms) and 1/2 alambre (mixed meet with peppers and onions) It was so good. It’s basically a giant quesadilla but the tortillas are fresh and delicious and I swear the huitlacoche was fresh (not from a jar) too. It was SO GOOD.
