La Birrieria - Mexican restaurant in San Antonio - 11211 Perrin Beitel, USA

Food was good but nothing special. It was in a sketchier area but not terrible. Restaurant was a little dirty but again, nothing terrible. Our server was nice but food/ service took a long time on there was only 1 other table with people. Everyone was nice and food was good, just a little on the greasy side. Overall an okay experience but based off of the reviews we were expecting more.

DISCRIMINATION!!!! I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. The owner has 0 respect for his customers. The birria is super greasy see the pictures for yourself. I brought my friend and I had no appetite but I wanted to taste the taco. So I asked for 1 order of ramen and 1 quesabirria. The waiter comes and brings 2 of each. I then told him I had ordered 1 which he rolls his eyes and questions what he wrote down. My friend agreed I had only asked for 1 of each. He then walks away and the waiter and owner start talking loud about my order behind the counter. The owner proceeds to tell the waiter to show me the receipt and to force me to accept what he brought. They continued making comments out loud saying I was wrong and started mocking I was going to ask for a bowl to share the ramen. So what if I did what is it to them? Their behavior was disgusting. So I confronted both of them and told the owner I could clearly hear their outraged comments and complaints about me. He thought because he saw two young women he wasn’t going to get confronted. He thought he could get loud and I was not going to stand up for myself. The owner is a clown 🤡 Birria Estilo Jalisco is down the street got there instead. It is way better quality food than this greasy food. Save your money and stay away from this discriminatory place.

Quesabirria delicious, macho burrito delicious, birria noodles good and full of flavor, chips and salsa were good. Went in and placed a to go order food was ready in about 12 minutes or less. Large portions. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking plentiful. Give it a try

Wanted birria and was on this side of town, and came across this place. It wasn’t busy at all when we went in. The worker was so kind to us and was really welcoming. Our food came out pretty quick and HOT. Honestly, one of the best birria places I’ve ever had. Their salsa, oh my gosh it’s sooo good with the tacos. I highly recommend this place and definitely plan on coming again!! 10/10

After the week I had, I needed birria to at least comfort my soul. After searching around the local area online I found La Birrieria. Door dash got my hopes up then crushed them because apparently I live 17 miles away, beyond the delivery zone. Drove 30 mins through traffic to get there praying at least this would be a positive part of my week. Left completely satisfied, dancing with glee. Amazing food, comfortable atmosphere, and could not have asked for better service. I was shocked at how slow it was for a Friday night, but it’s not a fancy place that draws a lot of attention. If Keith Lee ever came to San Antonio, he better stop here. I’m positive he’d hurt himself rolling his eyes because this slapped so hard. 10/10 worth the 30 minute drive and I will be back!!!

Awesome birria when you least expect it. The ladies were very nice and the food came out quick. Glad I don’t have to go to the west side for some of the good stuff.

Who does not love birria? We gave this place a try as the reviews online were raving about it. This mom and pop's shop is friendly, warm and cozy. The menu selection is short which for us is a sign of quality and freshness. We decided to try the quesabirrias combo and the papas locas. They have lamb or beef option for the birria, we went with lamb for both. The quesabirrias are amazing, very flavorful and so crispy. I would not recommend the loaded fries as they were soggy and not very memorable. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll be back!

First time trying out this place and it was DELICIOUS. I have no complaints as everything was perfect. The prices are just right and they have some good horchata that’s a plus. I will be coming back soon. This might be my new favorite spot for birria.
