La Belle Motel - Motel in LaBelle - 170 W Hickpochee Ave, USA

The town LaBelle is very cute and this is about your only option. I think the 30 minute drive to Fort Myers is worth it. It was set up weirdly the bathroom door wouldn't open much because the bed was in the way, it was dirty and had roaches. They had an old towel keeping the shower curtain up.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Right next to a noisy road. Very loud fridge we had to unplug. Rust on basically everything with metal. NOT WORTH $120 plus tax per night. The fan in the bathroom smelled like something was burning. No smoke detector. No interior locks on doors. No working ice machine either. Exposed wiring. Holes in wall. No body wash or shampoo products. No tissues. Not even a toilet paper holder.

No cable, hell the TV didn’t work. Front desk said “tough luck, cable company fault. The motel wasn’t full by any stretch. Traveling alone as a young woman CAN cause anxiety. I asked to PLEASE move closer to front office and was told no. I got stuck in one of three DESOLATE buildings. Both rooms on either side were packed with 8-10 people. I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable and was completely unable to sleep. I used to stay there often…NEVER again, it feels extremely dangerous now with shady clients.

The people are very nice and I enjoyed my stay! Edit-Our first stay had been good, but after our past stay my review has changed to 1 or 2 stars. Our room was terrible. There was a smell of smoke in the room at times, the toilet seat was broken, the shower was absolutely disgusting, and the floors were terrible too. Walking along the floor dry or wet feet, you could feel the dirt as you walked. The shower was only "clean" where the water had washed away the grime. The part where water did not reach was covered with a slimy looking substance. The shower curtain rod wasn't secure because it fell down at least once with the least bit of pull on it. When they came in the rooms to do cleaning and such, they didn't make the beds but once and unless I'm mistaken, they left our same towels most every time. The pillows were rather hard and stayed hard. The door locked us out for a time and I had to beat in the door until I was aggravated and hit it rather hard and the door registered it was closed or reset or something. There were buzzards in the in the dumpster. There were shopping carts, beer cans/bottles/caps, and other trashes left in the yard and the parking area. The lawn was poorly kept. There were no irons mentioning boards. I don't recommend this motel.

The La Belle Motel was a very pleasant experience for us and checked all of our boxes: within 45 minutes of Ft Myers airport and under $100. Pretty simple. We were pleasantly surprised. The non smoking room we requested was clean and had never been smoked in. The air conditioner was cold and the shower was hot. There was a clean pool which was great. Family run spot, and I wish them the best. Laundry, ice, pool, clean room..I'm not hard to please, but this exceeded my expectations, especially considering how pricey everything is within an hour of Ft Myers. I can't speak to the poor reviews, but they do not speak to our experience at the La Belle Motel. I would stay here again.

Very clean! Comfortable bed, large-screen TV, microwave. Even though near a highway it was quiet. Good water and water pressure. No shampoo, though that may have been an oversight and I was too tired to ask for some. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice ice machine, quick and plentiful. Many fast-food restaurants within walking distance. I paid $71.50, total price.

Our room was partly remodeled with new bathroom sink and shower. We checked it out before purchase but didn't look behind the bathroom door, there was Jalapenos stems on the floor. There is no hand towels to dry your hands and no towel rack by the sink. For the price and location we were fine. It was quite with no safety issues. The room does not have a hair dryer or coffee pot in the room but has a small fride and microwave. Beds were clean.

Our room had a funny smell when we first opened the door which thankfully did go away after we turned the a/c on.We had clean towels, our sink was clean and the tub was also. However, the walls had cobwebs, the grout in the tile was filthy, the bathroom door and frame were gross, and no iron or ironing board. For what it's worth though, our room was facing the main drag and may be a better room. I can't say I recommend this motel.
